One star because the bread was fresh. Stay away from this place. My husband and I are always down to try something new. This is not the place to do it. Upon approaching place was packed we thought WOW! It must be really good to be jam packed. NOOOO IT WASN’t!! This place was dirty dusty and so was the food. Got charged $3.50 for a glass of coke that got served in n a plastic Pepsi cup, OOPS they forgot to tell us they were fresh out of straws. At 7 pm on a Saturday? ✅ The calamari was dryer than the bottom of my husband’s boots. We had to cover the untouched plate to get served the main course. They kept walking by to see if we tried it we did super gross. They never asked because they already knew how the calamari was. Listen when you walk in and the salt shaker is empty but the pepper is full, RUN! Foods gonna stink. Your gonna think well they forgot to buy straws maybe they forgot to buy salt to. NO THATS NOT THE CASE HERE THE FOOD IS AWFUL. Steak was just as dry as the calamari. If I had a restaurant I’d ALWAYS CHOOSE QUALIYY OVER QUANTITY!! Skip this one and never look back they put the D in disgusting. They had the nerve to ask if we wanted to wrap it? No but the chefs father should of and yeah I said it!!! This gets the big YUCK NO THANKS AND IF YOU LISTEN YOUR WELCOME!! IF YOU DON’T AND TRY FOR YOURSELF THEN IM SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. No line no waiting well no wonder! LOL! BTW IM FULL BLOODED PORTUGUESE AND THIS PLACE IS EMBARRASSING !!

Amazing local restaurant that provides exceptional catering and event space for corporate parties. I’m so thankful our organization chose Riviera’s everything was perfect. From the food, from the service, they made sure we were taken care of and had the best time. Definitely five stars. Great local establishment!

When in mood for good authentic Portuguese food Riviera never disappoints. Went there recently on a Saturday and it was quite busy granted it was Xmas season. Had a party of 4 and we were seated in reasonable amount of time. 2 of us had the Octopus dinner which was fabulous, huge portion and the Octopus was delicious. Other 2 had an ether whole fish Branzino and loved it as well. Highly recommend to give them a try

Poor service: 5 minutes in we got up and left.
When we walked in, we weren’t greeted with a smile or a welcoming attitude. The young blonde woman with glasses asked, “What can I help you with?” even though it was clear we were there to dine with our toddler.
After being seated, several staff members walked past us without any acknowledgment. Including a cook with a beer in one hand and his phone in the other. When our server finally returned, she asked, “What do you guys want to drink?” before even greeting us or placing bread on the table. Overall, the service felt unfriendly, which was disappointing. Because of this, we don’t plan on ever returning.

Very delicious food. Octopus grilled to perfection, crispy on the outside and soft inside. Shrimp Mozambique cooked well with good flavor and not too sour. Everything tasted fresh. Restaurant has good atmosphere and service was good. Highly recommended!

We did not feel welcome upon entering. Blonde girl with gym clothes and glasses did not treat us with any grace or happiness. We felt as though we were doing a favor and not out to a nice Portuguese dinner.

This restaurant is definitely a family favorite. My personal favorites are the calamari, shrimp Mozambique pizza, lobster ravioli, fish fillets and the mash potatoes are super delicious. Definitely the best Portuguese restaurant in RI. The staff here are also super sweet. 10/10 would definitely recommend!!
