I saw reviews of this restaurant on Facebook. I was very anxious to try it. I live in Salisbury so the next time I went to Winston-Salem, I tried the restaurant. I love the cornbread and the cabbage and collards mixed the macaroni and cheese the Black Eyed Peas. I had an issue with my order so I go back into the restaurant on Thursday and I spoke to Sabrina Who is very nice and very understanding and such a sweet lady she appears to be a very good business owner. She gave me a complementary dinner due to the previous issue that I had. I enjoyed the catfish as well as the vegetables. The banana pudding was very good and it took me to back in the day. I really enjoyed this restaurant and I would not hesitate to visit it again if I’m in the area and in the mood for some soul food.

1st visit 12/14, our best dining experience in years. The food was absolutely fabulous but the staff was just beyond amazing. 23 yo son has cancer along with many health conditions that make dining out difficult. He also is not a big eater. Wanted fried chicken on Sunday, found this place and off we went. He’s in a wheelchair and has a service dog. This place was packed yet they saw our situation and immediately tended to us. Found us a table, helped us with trays and seating, made us feel welcome and at home. 5 different people all taking their time with us, despite a packed house. And my son loved his chicken, ate more than he has in a single sitting in months. Good food is hard to find but an establishment full of good people is a rare gem. Taste of the Triad served us more than good food, they served us a loving dose of humanity. The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

It’s located on the outskirts of town, beyond the fairgrounds, and just passed a haunted gas station. There’s a wonderful mural painted on the side so you can’t miss it.
It’s cafeteria style. You take your tray of food to your table, and a waitress helps with your drinks.
I was disappointed with the collards and the ribs. The mac & cheese was amazing! My fiancée liked her catfish. I really wish my meal was better.

I wanted southern food that was not too salty. I decided to come to this location. They have a buffet style food selection for you to pick from. However, if you decide to order Catfish. They do it when you order, so its fresh. That Catfish is delicious. You pay for your order first and then you sit until the food os brought to you. They have a separate space that you can rent out for your event. I decided to bring my friend who is picky with her fish and she loved it. I can’t wait for my family to come to me so that I can bring them to this location.

Food is always amazing! Loved our waiter, Jacob! The owner Sabrina even came by our table once we finished our meals. Nice Atmosphere and the prices are extremely reasonable for the quantity and quality of food!!! Try the fried catfish, pork ribs, fried croaker (if you like it), Mac and cheese, yams, collard/cabbage mix and more! You can’t go wrong!!! We finished our plates before we could take pictures, but my family got plates to go. The wings were good too! Their desserts are also amazing! Haven’t had anything that wasn’t enjoyable from this place, and I will travel from Greensboro to go there every time.

The food was good the workers are very nice I’ll definitely be back , the only thing is the chitterlings are priced very high $19 for a little bowl that’s how much a whole bucket costs, but other than that it’s a awesome place to eat

After hearing about this place at a conference at WFU, it’s been on my list of local places to check out. My only regret is that I didn’t go sooner! I had the meatloaf, mixed greens, mac & cheese, and broccoli rice casserole. All were delicious. The greens were sweeter than my grandmas, but still had good flavor. The Mac and Cheese was all the things it should have been- crisp crust on top and cheesy gooey goodness all throughout. The meatloaf stole the show. It was a flavorful, savory meat combo topped with a sauce that had the perfect hint of heat mixed into the traditional tang of tomato. The portion was plentiful and I had enough to bring home for a small sandwich for dinner. The cornbread muffin was moist and spot-on… no dry, crumbly tastelessness in sight with that one! The cafeteria style line for food selection was quick and efficient, and the waitress who served our drinks at the table and cared for us was very polite and helpful. While I regret not coming sooner, I will most definitely be coming back! This is a hidden gem in Winston-Salem!!

1st time here (May 2, 2025) nice atmosphere and the customer service was GREAT. Most importantly, the FOOD IS delicious! I “complain” a lot and consider myself a food critic. I can honestly say I have NO complaints. I’d definitely recommend & I will come again if I’m ever in the area. Thanks for the delicious lunch today.
