This long-standing, family-owned spot serves up Southern Italian recipes passed down for generations — and you can taste the love in every bite. Their meatballs, sausage, and even the chicken fried steak are local favorites for a reason.
Trying to eat a little lighter? Their grilled chicken salad is — fresh, flavorful, and still totally satisfying.
Perfect for date night, family dinner

This amazing spot hasn’t lost its luster. It was incredible when I first visited 29 years ago and it’s still great today.
From the classic crab claw appetizer to the steak pizzaiola, the consistent quality is still there.
I just wish my wife and I didn’t live in a suburb now so we could go more often.

We went to Prego Pasta House to celebrate our anniversary, and it was such a great experience. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming — perfect for a special night out. The food was fresh, flavorful, and served with genuine care. The pasta tasted homemade, and every dish felt crafted with attention to detail.
Our server was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, which made the evening even better. Overall, it was the perfect spot for a relaxed, romantic dinner — we’ll definitely be back!

Came in for lunch and was surprised to see only one pasta option on a double-sided menu — felt limited for a “Pasta House.”
The food was just okay; nothing stood out. Service was friendly but a bit forgetful — we had to get their attention to both order and pay.

Neighborhood institution. Step back into an East Coast Italian families kitchen. Service is great, food is rock solid and the drinks are legendary. Largest, coldest martinis ever. Richard the lead bar tender is a legend. Go see where the locals go for Italian!!

Lovely service. Nice Italian food. Recommend Chicken Italiano. The venue is quite loud with the mirrors and tile floor.

Excellent excellent excellent! We arrived at 12pm Sunday. We were immediately greeted and seated. We were asked what drinks we wanted by our server. We were then promptly served our Iced teas. They served us some Italian bread that was so good that my wife almost ate it all. The cheese toast was so cheesy and delicious that we saved it for later. We had both salads I the house and my wife the Caesar. I don’t even like salads, but I ate it. Then we got our meals. My wife had the fettuccine Alfredo with Italian sausage and I had the Veal Francese. I would have given the food 5 stars, but my wife said she didn’t like the sausage. For me however, the veal was so delicious and tender that I was able to cut it with the butter knife they provided. Then the dessert. My wife had the canolis and I had the tiramisu. I ate it so fast that my wife got upset that I didn’t ever offer her some. The total experience was awesome. I recommend you try Pergo once in your life

Preggos is an established italian go-to place that i’ve been going to for 40+ years. We mainly sit at the bar and Richard is fantastic and has been there since the 80s! TONY, the owner is great and perfect in his working the tables! Drinks and food and the patrons that have been coming forever, make this place a great dining experience, and also lunch experience!

I ordered the staple, Spaghetti and meat sauce with mushrooms and garlic toasts which came with a side salad. The meat sauce was very tasty and I loved how their garlic toast was prepared. The staff was very friendly and cordial, and greeted me with authentic smiles. All 5-stars!
