My husband and I don’t get out for nice dinners very often maybe once a year so when we do, we tend to open the checkbook a little more and really make a night of it. We both happened to be off and decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day and our anniversary from the week before at River Grille of Bentonville and I’m so glad we did.
The service was absolutely impeccable. I can be overly critical (former server here), and everything from start to finish was flawless. Even though our reservation was close to closing time, we were never rushed. Plates were timed perfectly, and despite how busy they were, we felt completely taken care of.
We had gone to Theo’s Bentonville previously, and while the food there was okay, hands down the food and service were better at River Grille. On top of that, the total price for everything we ordered was actually cheaper and we got more here.
The only thing I could even suggest and this is truly nit-picky would be adding a little fresh fruit to the passion fruit cheesecake. Even just some fresh passion fruit (or another fruit that complements it) would have taken an already amazing dessert completely over the edge. I know fresh passion fruit can be hard to find in this area, but that small touch would have made it next-level

Thank you for stepping in when our family needed you most. When our anniversary plans fell through at the last minute, you showed up with generosity, care, and grace, without knowing us and without knowing the full gravity of the moment, turning what could have been a disappointment into a memory we will treasure forever.
That evening was my brothers ’ 30th wedding anniversary on November 11. My brother was nearing the end of a ten-month battle with aggressive brain cancer, and time felt incredibly precious. Because of you, that night was filled with peace, love, and celebration. Our original plans fell through and we needed a full special meal delivered to the house last minute!!
My brother passed on Sunday, December 14. He had two goals, to be here for that anniversary and for my nephews college graduation. He accomplished both, and he passed the morning after he graduated.
The photos included capture one of my brothers’ final moments together with his bride. Thank you for the role you played in giving our family that gift.

Excellent experience. The bone-in ribeye was great, good portion for two people. The fries and mushrooms were great, the asparagus was ok.
Very classy atmosphere with live music. The service was excellent!

Definitely a solid fine dining option in Northwest Arkansas. A Bentonville gem, you definitely feel the refined atmosphere immediately upon entering. I found the small-ish size of the room we dined in to be a bit charming and cozy. Service was very nice and helpful, though a tad on the slow side, but if you’re okay with this you will no doubt enjoy your experience.
Their drink selection is decent and for my main I had the Citrus Glazed Mahi. Top notch presentation and I very much enjoyed the flavors. They have too many appetizing side dishes for me to have passed on them all so I had to try the Spring Pea and Corn Risotto. I enjoyed that as well.
Definitely consider this option if you are looking for a good fine dining experience.

Took my wife to River Grille for a Birthday celebration and was pleasantly surprised. Steaks were cooked perfectly and so good they melt in your mouth. Our waiter Zach was great, sharing where and how the restaurant sources and prepares their steaks. We look forward to our next visit.

I have lost count of the number of times I have been here for both business and personal dinners. The food quality is top-notch. The staff make the dining experience over the top every time. I know one of the owners, and she has a passion for this business and it shows.

We celebrated a family dinner party here after our wedding ceremony, and I’m not exaggerating when I say everything—from the service to the food—was beyond 10/10. The New York strip was perfectly cooked, the crab legs were fresh and flavorful, and every single dish was worth every penny. The staff made us feel so special and taken care of. We were blown away by the entire experience. This place has officially become our go-to for anniversaries and special occasions for years to come!

My husband and I chose this restaurant for our honeymoon, and I’m so glad we did. Our table was adorned with lit candles, rose petals, and a flute of champagne to mark the occasion—it was so meaningful and thoughtful!
Dinner was delicious. I ordered the Alaskan King Crab Legs, and my husband had the Pan-Seared Duck Breast. For dessert, we shared a slice of Chocolate Mousse, and it was incredible! They also offer a very extensive wine menu.
The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the live pianist even came over to personally congratulate us on our marriage! I enjoyed every second of this night and highly recommend this establishment.

We love to sit in the bar, where the atmosphere is a little more relaxed without sacrificing the upscale vibe. Service is outstanding (and in our opinion much better than the dining room). The menu has good variety, the food is always on point, and the drinks are tasty and generous. We were last in a couple of weeks ago for our anniversary and were presented with a small gift card for our next visit—such a thoughtful gesture! There are a lot of options locally, but River Grille is always one of our top spots.
