Tandoor is a great spot if you’re looking for a balanced North Indian meal—their thali options are especially good. The host was very attentive and checked in often for feedback, which made the experience feel warm and welcoming. The restaurant is conveniently located right beside an Indian grocery store, so it’s easy to grab essentials while you’re there. It wasn’t crowded during my visit, and the service was smooth and pleasant. Overall, a solid choice for a satisfying North Indian meal.

Went for lunch, $18.95 per person. It was worth the price, lots to try off the buffet. The spice level is medium/high for everything. We enjoyed everything we tried and they put out fresh Naan frequently. Would return!

This is my favorite Twin Cities Indian restaurant and has been for three decades. They don’t cut corners on their naan, the entrees’ flavors have depth, and the portions are hearty. Love this place and will never stop going.

My family and I big Indian cuisine lovers. I have to say we are very impressed with Tandoor. We have been living in Bloomington for two years and never eaten here. To
Andoor is tucked away off of American blvd. The food is very flavorful even when ordering mild. We always order mild the first time we eat ar new indian Restaurant. The chicken samosa is perfect and perfect size. My family almost finished them before I could eat one. The dishes arrived quickly like someone in the kitchen knew what they were doing. Lol. What I like the most is that there menu shows you what’s vegetarian and non-vegetarian for easy ordering. The service is awesome and she was so nice. We will be coming back for sure. Great job Tandoor.

The food here used to be really good, but it definitely went down in quality, doesn’t taste good and the portion for the price is crazy.

Ordered from here for the first time the other day and I would say the flavors of the dishes are great. However, the chicken and paneer I ordered were way overcooked and chewy. Therefore, my partner and I couldn’t finish our dishes and sadly threw away the rest.

My son and I loved the food. This was our first visit to Tandoor, and our first taste of Indian cuisine. Large portions and at a reasonable price.

The interiors are done tastefully. It gives you a nice vibe as you walk in. I ordered a vegetarian Indian Thali. The naan, malai kofta and mixed vegetables were ok. Instead of chana masala boiled dal was served. When I pointed out, I was offered one more portion of the same with a tadka. But by then, I was already finishing. The gulab jamun was served cold and papad and chutney were not served at all. I was not attended after serving the thali and thus all of this could only be pointed out in time.
Overall quantity is good and quality and taste is ok. I hope that my experience there was a one off incident.
Update: I visited again for dinner and all previous issues were addressed. I am bumping the rating by one. It was Saturday dinner and the place got busy very quickly. Mansa served me both times and she is really attentive and serves with a smile.

Had an amazing dinner last night. Ordered the combination chicken platter and was absolutely delighted! Everything was perfect, from the portions to the flavor! I was so full about halfway into my meal, but ended up gorging myself because of how tasty it was and still took leftovers home!
As this was my first time eating at this restaurant I can not give a full review on the rest of their menu items, but I can 100% vouch for the Chicken platter I had last night. Go and get yourself some GREAT Indian food!
