On the south side of Atlanta we love all types of food so it was no problem to check this place out. I had heard about their original location on Northside drive but never had the opportunity to patronize the business.

I was happy to see them come to our area. I ordered food through Uber eats one day because I was tired of the regular chicken wings, Pizza etc

I can say I was not disappointed. I ordered the jerk chicken rice and peas and a side of macaroni and cheese and a side of kale. I like the fact that the main plate was actually a round aluminum pan and not one of those styrofoam containers.

The food came hot and fresh. The chicken was not dry. So many times jerk chicken or Caribbean food comes out dry for whatever reason. That was not the case. The chicken also was not super spicy. When you hear the term jerk you automatically think of too hot to eat or rather too spicy to eat. That was not the case with this dish. The sauce was delicious and it had a tinge of something sweet which made it even better for me. The recipes were cooked thoroughly the peas were not hard. The cabbage was cooked to tenderness and it was not mushy and it was not crunchy it was just right.

The macaroni and cheese was delicious and full of cheese, seasoned and even the kale was very good it was slightly gritty though. However I ate it. All in all I will go to this place again.

New Jamaican spot on Campcreek, so we tried it out. It was just ok. I got the Jerk chicken with peas and rice and cabbage. It was $17 for a small plate. My son got the oxtails which was close to $30 and they only have one size. There were more rice than peas for both plates. The cabbage was good. They give you jerk sauce for the jerk chicken. The oxtails were good and tender. Overall the food was ok but needs more seasoning. The restaurant is in a bad spot next to an abandoned lot and a storage unit facility. Many other restaurants have tried this location and failed. So if they don’t upgrade marketing and the vibe, I’ll give them a year.
Customer service was great. I wish them the best of luck.

I ordered the oxtails that came with rice and beans and greens. The oxtails were very tender and full of flavor. The gravy was so savory. It was deliciously seasoned. I will be back to try more. Im glad I didnt go by the reviews on here and gave this place a chance!

I placed a catering order online with ease. The order was ready as stated when it was time to pick it up. Most importantly, the food was hot and delicious. Everyone enjoyed the food and had several positive compliments.

I placed my order online and the pickup time was 20 minutes. I ordered the Large Jerk Chicken Meal that comes with rice and peas and your choice of steamed cabbage or cabbage salad and plantains. The plantains are by request but no extra charge. The jerk seasoning is everything! The plantains are so delicious! And the meat…you can taste the smoke flavor and you receive sooooo much! I love two-fer meals (some now and some later). But this meal is a three-fer. I will definitely order again especially being only 5 mikes away.

I read all the reviews & was skeptical for a minute but I was hungry hell & had to take a chance. It’s pretty good. Cabbage was decent but I was content. I had the curry, chicken, rice, cabbage & plantains.

Man oh man, they opened one closer to my house! @datfirejerksouth lots of parking, clean interior, great service and friendly staff. Go check out the Camp Creek Location. Only one suggestion I had for them was to get hardough bread to serve with the jerk chicken…no complaints the coco bread work just as well!

One of the best places for Caribbean food in the area. Love the jerk chicken and pork. The oxtail is cooked perfectly, almost falling off the bone. I also love the patties, delish! I also love the new spot. Bigger than the first and such lovely workers. The customer service is top notch. I would definitely recommend and will be back soon.

So now I’ve been to both locations and had to write a review! The food AND the service are excellent! Officially my go-to favorites are the Jerk Chicken Fries – it’s a not to be missed dish for me! I’ve tried the Jerk Chicken and the Oxtails dinner ( I don’t like soggy cabbage, and it was cooked just right), and I always grab a veggie patty to go.
Sometimes with Caribbean spots – you get good food, but they lack service; however, Dat Fire got it right! Glad you opened up on the South side – I will definitely be back 🙂

Been waiting to try and it disappointed :/

The food was not the best at all. Their macaroni pie is okay it could’ve used some more seasoning and a different cheese.

The oxtails and peas and rice were straight up horrible. I paid $26+ for a large and threw it right out. Invest in an industrial rice cooker? Why was my rice so soggy wet and not cooked all the way and fluffy?
Would also like a better seasoned and flavorful oxtails plate. Oxtail with no flavor is amazing. The oxtail gravy was also flavorless. Just a miss overall.

The jerk chicken cheese fries were also ridiculous. There is a thing as too much cheese it had no flavor, lacked seasoning and was very unappetizing.

The best part of my meal was the beef Pattie’s, they could be a little better seasoned still but they were okay!
