We went here with our 4 kids and the food was fantastic. We had been here in past for a special occasion meal where we all ate the same meal on banana leaves at one long table. That was a great, traditional Indian experience. It has since been updated and remodeled a lot. Much nicer. And the food was excellent. Great, friendly service. Would definitely eat here again. We love Indian. We’ve ordered delivery many times from here. Always tasty.

Drove around 2 hours in order to eat Kerala food. So called Kerala porotta which is 5$ for 2 is the size of a coin. Also way too thick. The picture shown is the 17$ worth kappa biriyani. Common this is too much.
Never coming back or recommending to any friends.

Went in for lunch with two others and tried the Chettinad Chicken Biriyani, Pepper Chicken Chettinad, Beef Masala, Parotta, Spicy Lime, and Fried Fish.
Overall, the food tasted good, but there’s room for improvement. The biriyani wasn’t in traditional Chettinad style—it felt more like Kerala-style, with rice served on top of gravy. The Pepper Chicken Chettinad was flavorful but a bit too dry, resembling chicken chukka. It could have been better with a bit more gravy.
The Fried Fish was a highlight—crispy and delicious, especially with the accompanying sauce. The Spicy Lime, Beef Masala, and Parotta were also excellent and really stood out.
Overall, it was a good experience, but the biriyani and pepper chicken could use a little refinement.

We highly recommend this restaurant if you’re craving South Indian food! We tried the Kerala porotta with beef curry, as well as the fried rice with chili chicken. Everything we ordered was incredibly flavorful and served in generous portions. A must-visit for South Indian cuisine lovers!

Visited Mc’s Curry Restaurant yesterday and had a good
experience overall. We tried the masala dosa, onion uttapam, and idli — all were fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The only downside was the sambhar quantity, which felt a bit less compared to the size of the dosa.
The filter coffee was absolutely amazing — strong, rich, and perfectly brewed!
We also took the Chettinad chicken biryani for takeaway. The flavor was nice but it was a bit lacking in salt. Still, it was decent overall.
Would definitely return for the South Indian items and coffee!

We went here to try a different east Indian restaurant than the other ones we’ve already tried in the city. Don’t get me wrong, the food was great. But the portion sizes and the prices for those portions were not good. They were very stingy with the naan bread and rice has to be ordered extra. I’ve never been to an East Indian restaurant where where they literally were not showering you in naan bread and rice wasn’t included with any meal you ordered. I’ve been to many other Indian restaurants in the city and they were all better in comparison to this place.

Tried their ghee dosa – crispy, fresh, and full of flavour!
The coffee was awesome, and the onion pakora was tasty too.
Service was good and quick. Overall, a satisfying and comforting South Indian meal!

Good service, reasonable rates and tasty food.
Ordered a mysore masala dosa, porotta with beef masala and a black tea.
The tea was perfect and so was the porotta and beef masala. The dosa was good as well but I had higher expectations for the masala and chutneys. Would def go back for more

Mc’s Curry, the south Indian food gem in Winnipeg. This place is possibly the best restaurant in Winnipeg that offers south Indian cuisine. Their food is really authentic. I love their mysore masala dosage, especially their chutney both coconut and the spicy chutney are to die for. Their sambhar is also quite reminiscent of authentic south Indian taste. Also their mint lime soda taste like sugarcane juice super good. Also filter coffee so good. So much like living in south India. This place brings back all those memories from their food. Love it. Their staff is super friendly especially their chef always trying to get feedback from their customers. Highly appreciated. A must try if you love south Indian food. The prices are really genuine for the food and quantity.
