Wonderful food and service ! New favorite place! Excellent fish and chips, robust burgers, good variety of beers and great cocktails. The desserts are phenomenal! The whisky bread pudding and today we had a chocolate pie- a fat Tuesday special. Everything here from food to service has been excellent both times we’ve come. We plan on becoming regulars here now! Nice chef and he does kitchen wonders. Shout out to Jessica for great , personal service !

QUALITY FOOD AND EXCELENT SERVICE!!! So I was in the area this last week on a 2-day drift fishing trip. Tired and hungry we were trying to find a decent meal in the area. This place was perfect and surprised us in so many good ways. Corn jalapeño chowder is soooo good, my wife’s burger was juicy real beef and so good, and the in house hand-battered fish and chips had large pieces of fresh cod. The pregnant bar tender/waitress, working hard, provided the best service we have had in a long time and we eat out a lot. I share that she was pregnant because I want her to know I am writing about her and giving her a tremendous shout out for being a great waitress, working hard while pregnant, happy and cheerful, helpful with the menu, and on her game with a smile on her face making sure our meal was great! Well done!!! She checked on us early and often, stopped by moments after our first bites to see if we were happy with the food, and was genuinely concerned about our dining experience. She went above and beyond when my wife ordered her burger with no tomatoes, and ordered a general side salad. We didn’t think when ordering to hold the tomatoes from the salad, but the salad comes with tomatoes and we heard her remind the chef to hold the tomatoes on the salad, knowing my wife omitted them from her burger. It was not a big deal, but server’s today seem to just go through the motions, not thinking. This lady was sharp and a great server. A couple black and tans, great food, and great service!!! Well done 8th Street Tavern!!! Oh and the restrooms were very clean…not something you see in most rural area bars. We tipped like crazy and will be back everything we co.e through the area!!! -Chris

Homey atmosphere, good beer selection, great cocktails and above average pub fare. I like the hand dipped cod here but I tried my dining partners burger and it was also very good. Their desserts are out of this world! Bread pudding with a whisky caramel sauce and a chocolate pie with strawberry garnish are the two desserts I’ve had here and both were immensely impressive. Service is personable, attentive, professional and friendly. Dog friendly areas.

Our first time here and we will come back for sure. We shared BBQ style wings and the chicken club wrap. The wings were crispy, sizzling hot fresh from the fryer with several style and sauce choices. The wrap was delicious. They split it for us served with a generous portion of their home made crisps (chips) best I’ve ever had. The wrap was lightly grilled with juicy chunks of white meat chicken. The avocado really made it a game changer.
I had ice tea. Hubby had a hard cider on tap that he enjoyed.
Our waitress was great. She was cheerful and gave us excellent service.
There is outside heated dining if preferred. Dogs are allowed in this area. They feature live music certain days of the week also. Sorry don’t remember what day(s).
The place is clean as well as are the very well stocked restrooms.
There is plenty of parking.
We would recommend this pub and will come again soon.

This is a great place for food and beverages! The staff is always friendly and takes a genuine interest in your experience. We always take our out of town guests there for a meal. I highly recommend it!

Good place with big variety of draft beer and tasty food. We ordered fish and chips where fish was juicy and burger which was close to perfect as well. Everything was good except couple things, waiting time was around 45 minutes and too oily food. Staff is friendly, atmosphere just of the regular pub. I guess that I can recommend this place!

Found this place looking to take a break from the road. Very friendly staff, good beer selection. Cozy local place, but felt welcome even though we were no locals. Fish tacos were awesome.

Rustic tavern with great food, welcoming staff and great decor. I had the Burger Bowl and the hubby had the Fish Sandwich special with homemade chips, both were very very good!

The Westport Burger was delicious – a tasty combination of juicy beef and crabmeat in the patty. The staff recommended the garlic fries, and they were absolutely yummy （needs to +$2 but worthy）!
The salmon salad was also great, with a large, high-quality piece of salmon and plenty of fresh greens.
Overall, this was a really satisfying meal in this small town. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re passing through Hoquiam.
