one of the best chicken butter around the area. i asked for the spicy hot and it was delicious …. the only reason i gave it 4- stars is because the place looks little small… but i get it why, still for a small group of 4- people is a good option. i went after 1:30 pm for lunch so it was quite silence which i liked… and yes, i recommend it if you are around the area… i definitely planning to go back to try the chicken Kabbob…

This cute place has a wide variety of options. The food, quality, service and ambiance is worth the price. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in trying authentic Indian food.

Small but aesthetic place. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is Excellent. Authentic Indian taste. Spice level is adjusted based on costumers preference. The Tandoori Chicken is undoubtedly The Best among any Indian restaurant in Northern Virginia.

They are the best Indian food in Northern Virginia that I’ve had in my 24 years here. I always get the Sarsan ka Saag, and sometimes Tarka Dahl, with more takeout for my family (we live an hour away). No one makes being vegan easier and more tasty, although they have excellent meats too.

The atmosphere is a little strange, as if they think customers will share their enjoyment of very repetitive audio reverence for certain gurus. But their main customers are getting takeout, so maybe that’s just a form of prostelization. (Although I’ve noticed the kitchen always plays something much livelier! 😉

Service is great, but the food is the main event!

For the first time we ordered from this restaurant and this is how they sent food. Instead of organ Josh they sent korma ( with oil) and the kabob was even hilarious seems like someones left over good they sent for us. This kabob was for my kids 🙁

I had high hopes for this spot, but it unfortunately missed the mark. We ordered the Chicken Vindaloo, Lamb Vindaloo, Goat Curry, and Chicken Biryani, along with garlic naan and rice. The main issue was the portion sizing, the dishes were lacking meat (like barely any maybe one chicken thigh size in each dish), making it feel like they are prioritizing cost-cutting over customer satisfaction. We actually had to order extra just to get enough to eat.

The atmosphere is definitely more of a ‘takeout’ vibe than ‘dine-in.’ Small details, like being served plastic Kirkland water bottles, made the experience feel unpolished and questionable.

Honestly, if you’re looking for a substantial meal, I’d recommend Himalayan Grill in Haymarket instead. The quality and portions there are much better. While the prices here are low, I’d rather pay a bit more ($2-3 more) for the better environment and more meat in the dishes that you get at Himalayan Grill.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals today at Mehak. The tandoori chicken, rice, butter naan, dal, chickpeas, and potatoes with cauliflower were exquisitely prepared. Bottled water and a small dessert are also included with the very reasonably priced lunch specials. Excellent service. The only downside was the pervasive odor of incense which competes with the delicious aromas of their dishes.

Me and my boyfriend pick up the butter chicken and chicken tikki masala and we loveeee it, it’s so delicious we dream about it at night. The owner noticed we came a lot and gave us a free mango lassi which was extremely kind of him! We love this place. COME EAT HERE!!

Not so great as the reviews but still amazing food. Please dont go by the extremely high ratings, the Samosas are average. Not the best ones in town. The chutneys are average. The chole bhature was good but mot outstanding like the reviews. But the place is clean, has a good vibe, pleasant owners, and offers varieties. One of the better Indian reataurants in the area
