I got the vermicelli with grilled pork (slightly fatty and flavorful), egg roll (fresh and crispy), and pickled ham (interesting texture but good). My husband got the pho tai, which had excellent light broth and tender beef as others described. We shared appetizer #9 (shrimp and pork salad with lotus rootlet) which I haven’t seen at other Vietnamese restaurants and am glad we got it. We appreciated having the shrimp already peeled for us. We also ordered two bahn mi to go, lemongrass chicken and beef, both of which had perfect ratios of meat to bread and veggies. Usually, I order extra meat for bahn mi from other places but was not disappointed here. If you ever have a pop-up in York even with just bahn mi, we’ll be there!

I didn’t expect to find some truly great Vietnamese food in Pennsylvania. A surprise to be sure, and a welcome one. The food was authentic with lots of variety in flavor and texture. Some of the meals even have a local and creative flair like the Bahn Mi with the au jous dipping sauce (highly recommend). The staff are quite friendly and welcoming as well.

Good quick fix for Vietnamese food. Portions are great. Nothing really that stands out in a bad or good way.

The owner Ken is very friendly and likes to chat with regular customers. The service and servers are good in the evening.
Phở~ Beef Soup is their best lineup. The rare beef is always very tender and tasty. The broth is better than other restaurants with special taste and flavor. Good size and good value.

Definitely not the best broth, pho, nor atmosphere. First impressions were dingy setting with fake stone wall paper, no seafood pho options other than shrimp, and chicken pho was frisly/fatty dark crap not fit for consumption. Pho Miss Saigon in Hershey still topshelf and handsdown cheaper than these other Vietnam imposters near Lancaster, York, and Hanover.

Pho is one of my favorite foods on the planet. I’ve had it in many places and I can say that this is second to none. The service is also exemplary and the chef even came out to greet us just to see how we were doing. It was such an amazing personal touch that is lacking at most restaurants. I will most definitely be coming back very soon even though there are multiple Vietnamese restaurants closer the drive is more than worth it. 10/10 recommend.

I was visiting the area from Northern VA when I had a strong craving for pho, so I ended up stopping by a couple days ago. However the experience was far greater than I could have expected. I have been to many pho restaurants, but the broth at Sai Gon Cafe was one of the most lightest refreshing ones I have had. They don’t have different sizes for the pho, but it’s a really good portion. The food was delicious, but what really set this location apart from the dozens I’ve visited is truly the service. If great food isn’t enough, the servers and the owner were extremely welcoming, more than willing to explain the menu and everything on it to anyone that’s newer to the cuisine, and extremely helpful, friendly and attentive. Service like this doesn’t come by very often. You can really tell, even just from the interactions between the staff that it’s a great healthy environment, and somewhere you would want to keep visiting. Between the great food, friendly staff and excellent service, I don’t see why this location shouldn’t be the go-to Vietnamese restaurant in Lancaster, if not Pennsylvania. Sai Gon Cafe was about a 40 minute drive from where I was staying, but I would go out of my way to visit this specific location rather than another one that may be much closer. I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys pho and Vietnamese Cuisine, and especially recommend it for those who are new to it and want to give it a try! Will definitely go for the Vietnamese broken rice dish next time I am in the area.

Wow, this was some excellent Vietnamese food. I ordered the chicken soup and pork chop. The pork chop was fork tender and super flavorful while the chicken soup warmed my soul on a cold winter day. I also got an avocado milkshake for my kid. Real tasty and creamy. Totally recommend.

Delicious Chicken Rolls and Thai Iced Tea! Chicken with Rice and Crispy Noodles were excellent! Be sure to share, there’s so much food! Ken, the owner, made great suggestions and is adding a new menu item. We can’t wait to come back to try it!

Top notch pho, excellent service, and friendly staff. The pho broth is rich and flavorful – the best I’ve ever tasted – with no greasy quality. The presentation of the pho is even a detail of attention at Sai Gon Cafe. I’ll make this part of my regular visit when in the Lancaster area. Can’t wait to try more of the menu!
