The food and service were great! The staff was very nice and accommodating. They put the sauce on the side because one of us couldn’t eat it and it worked out so well. We loved the fried avocado tacos and the poutine fries with meat on top. We went on a Saturday night and we didn’t have to wait for a table. It was a nice atmosphere and family-friendly. I would definitely recommend this place!

I was in town for the Women’s Worlds IFPA pinball championships and it was my first time in Portsmouth. BRGR Bar was close to my hotel and the venue so I frequented this spot while I was in town due to the proximity.
The staff was kind, accommodating, and prompt with their service. They were able to give friends recommendations on local beers from the area to try and they have a solid happy hour menu for a reasonable price — a burger and fries for $10 was great so I snagged one of those one day (sorry, no pic).
The following day we had a tournament break so I popped back to snag a chili dog. I’m not a hot dog person, however a friend had this the day prior and it hit the spot. Despite it being very messy, it was tasty, filling and enough food for me. I swapped the fries with the vegan chickpea Caesar side salad which had nice flavor and crunch due to the (assuming) oven roasted chickpeas.
The restaurant itself is rather small so if you’re a large group looking for a place to go this may not be for you unless you’re willing to sit separated out. Their largest table can seat around 10 for context. There’s a nice amount of windows making it feel like a comfortable space to be in for a quick bite or beverage.
I’m not sure when I’ll be in Portsmouth again, but they were great in a pinch for someone short on time.

BRGR Bar is more than a burger joint. The service, atmosphere, and creative menu, are what make this restaurant worth coming back to.
The menu has so many options, and it is often difficult to choose. Our favorites include the build-your-own burger & Big Fish, Little Pond sandwich – fresh tuna, seasoned well with sesame seeds and a spicy aioli. During this visit, we also discovered the Bacon Cheese Waffles Fries! The sauce is out of this world. The drink menu is also top-notch – everyone at our table ordered the Smoked Pineapple Margarita *hint hint*

Worth an out of state drive, which is what we did. The fries, burgers and Poke Taco appetizer are phenomenal. All for an affordable price, BRGR Bar is the place to be. If you are ever in Portsmouth, you don’t want to miss out.

I’m pretty picky when it comes to vegan food and honestly not a big fan of veggie patties usually. I got to say unequivocally this was hands down the best veggie burger I’ve had in my life. Honestly knocked my socks off. I also got the vegan Caesar salad which I usually again have low expectations on but this one was perfect. Can’t recommend this enough if you’re a vegetarian or vegan. I went with some of my friends who got the regular burgers and they loved those too. Staff was really prompt and helpful. Also it’s just great vibes in there.

Walking around the beautiful Portsmouth my family-in law and i decided to grab a bite to eat and there it was BRGR it was easy to found and the food was delicious, the service very quick and efficient and friendly. The drinks were creative, modern and tasty, definitely recommend stop by.

Went to Portsmouth for a Birthday weekend. When we go away I loke to see what places we would like to eat and the BRGR Bar did not disappoint. The burgers were great definitely needed to cut it in half. One of the best burgers I have ever had. When in the area one of the places I will go to. Our server Mike was great.

I usually dont review restaurants but this was one of the WORST burgers I’ve ever had the misfortune to consume, I got a burger with caramelized onions that were badly burnt and its all you taste, the fries were way too salty and room temp when served and the place wasn’t even a quarter full. The service also felt delayed and minimal . . . AND they rang us up with the wrong ticket which was more expensive. As a former food service professional I understand that you can lose enthusiasm for your menu or your job but have some pride in what you do, especially when you basically only have 3 menu items.

Large selection of burgers, adult milkshakes and other American dishes. So many options it was hard to choose which ones to eat. Build your own burger was also an option. Fast and friendly service was much appreciated. We went on Saturday night and it was packed! We still received excellent service and the food was delicious. They even had GF udis buns for an extra $2.50. The clean bathrooms were single use for use by anyone. I will definitely go back to try other options! Thanks for a new favorite for my list!

We usually stop into brgr when visiting family who attends the University of New Hampshire. Always a friendly staff, attentive service and good burgers with plenty of options. They’re happy hour menu as many great choices at affordable prices. Some of our favorites are the smash burgers and the make your own burger. We also enjoy the waffle fries with cheese sauce and bacon. Worth a stop on your way through Portsmouth
