Had a delicious lunch at Casa Maria with my sister. We were seated immediately & served promptly. The restaurant is well lit, clean, and nicely decorated. We feasted on some crispy chips & salsa while we were waiting for our shrimp fajitas and chicken taco salad. Our drinks were topped off a few times and we were taken care of with excellent service. My only wish was that I had made time to order dessert; but we were pleasantly satisfied with our main course, but next time we will save room!

I’m not big on traditional TexMex with the standard rice and beans, so I always order a la carte at these places. Today for lunch I had a crispy beef taco and a beef tamale. They were both so delicious, especially the tamale! The beef in the tamale tasted like it had been grilled! Our server was sweet and attentive, and virtually instantaneous.
I went with a friend and this was her choice but I’ll definitely be back. Nothing really wrong with the atmosphere, just old and outdated but so what? Was there for Sunday lunch with a friend, didn’t need a romantic atmosphere.

First I would like to say my server was very polite. Second, I’m guessing the trash truck was late so one of the employees was in the dumpster stomping trash down to make room. Now I didn’t let that drive me off because I assumed he worked in the back. Third, me, my daughter and her son sat on the patio which is very nice and decorated beautifully with plants and flowers along the railing. Fourth, my daughters food looked amazing and she enjoyed it. She did say her frozen Margherita was not the best. She also did not like the limited menu they offered for Cinco de Mayo. Maybe that’s why the parking lot was sort of empty. Fifth!! I was just outdone on this one! My daughter ordered a cheese quesadilla for her son and after he had a few pieces she went to break another piece and saw a hair cooked into the cheese! I said okay it’s one hair I’m gonna brush it off. Well….a bit further into the meal my daughter went to give him rice and noticed another hair on the plate. I went to examine it and started looking and low and behold another group of hairs. I was completely outdone. The amount of hair in my opinion suggested intentional placement. I told the server about the first one and he brushed it off with an apology but after the next discoveries I spoke with a manager. He came out to speak with us and I showed him the plate. He picked it up and examined it like it was an episode of law and order and came to the conclusion we didn’t put it in the food. He kindly adjusted the bill which was kind but my thing is that the hair was entirely too curly to be hair from the head. Who is cooking for people back there and putting hair in the food and why? I will never grace their doorway again. Examine your food closely folks.

The food is not the issue. The audacity of our waiter to alter our receipt and add money to his tip is next level. My family visits this location every weekend and sometimes during the weekdays with my in-laws. During our last visit our total was increased by $10. Updated due to the tip. Customers beware and bring cash only.

It was my first time trying this restaurant. I love the location, which i realized after coming out of the restaurant, it is near perkins rowe cinemark. The food was AMAZING. I was craving some steak and the tacos were the perfect meal. Quality was excellent and quantity perfect the chef at this place is for sure a great one. I will be back very soon for some more chips and guac, also. Thank you! Totally recommend this place.

There is a Capulet and Montague feud between this restaurant and the one across Perkins for blandest food. The queso is not flavorful; it’s thick with a couple of red dots. One strip of steak in three tacos was around 18.75 buckaroos. The food is overpriced for what is offered. They do offer fresh brewed sweetened and unsweetened tea. Our service was prompt and attentive. My review is as bland as the food.
