Skoob’s is a great place for a great meal. All of our food was delicious and served just as expected. It’s not always that you get everything as described on the menu, but this time we certainly did. I had the Royal sub and it was huge, and so good. I had to take half home. The wife had the Reuben and it was perfect with quite a lot of corned beef. What a delightful sandwich. My daughter had the boom boom chicken and said it was great. We’ll definitely be back. The menu has so many choices and I’m looking forward to having many of them. Do yourself a favor and check them out right away. You’ll be glad you did.

My wife and I had a late lunch at Skoobs today (1:30ish). The dining room was very busy. Probably because of the spectacular weather! We were on a tight schedule and were a little concerned that we might not get out on time because they were so busy, and it appeared there was only one young lady waiting tables. As it turned out, she was the only one, but not just waiting tables, but answering the phone and busing the tables too! She not only did all that, but did it with a smile and awesome attitude! The food was great, as always, and we made it out with plenty of time to spare! Great job, Liz, and thank you for the exceptional service!

The atmosphere was an A+. Located in the center of Lancaster. Very cool street scape. The breaded fish fry was outstanding. Fries were good but could change the game if they were fresh. They spend a lot of time on inventive sauces. House made clam chowder will not disappoint. Clams casino was a little heavy on bacon but still worth it. The friendly front staff were very efficient and friendly. The 2 servers we met were and are awesome. Can’t wait to go back to try other menu items.

Scoobs was highly recommended, so off I go. Customer service was very good. It is set in the picturesque town of Lancaster. And the food was pretty good. But I had someone insist the wings were top 10 in Buffalo area. Nappy wing sauce is definitely the standout. The mediums were too buttery, they almost looked like Honey mustard. And I’m sorry to say I did not enjoy the wet Cajun wings at all, much too salty.
If you’re eating in the patio area, watch out when it gets windy. I happened to be there on a Friday, and my companion said the fish fry looked incredible.

Came on a very busy Fourth of July. Was told it’d be a 20 minute wait at the bar tables or 15-20 for a regular table. Soon as we sat down someone came over. Then Colin came over and asked to take our order. We told him somebody was already there, but he said he could take our order, which was great. Had our beer in five minutes and had our food in roughly 20 minutes. Colin was extremely efficient, checking on us, but not too much. Got what we asked for within a minute. He suggested I get the boom boom chicken opposed to a hamburger, and I really liked it! I think there could’ve been more sauce on it so if you like a really saucy sandwich, ask for extra or on the side. My dining mate got the open faced prime rib sandwich, which was cooked to perfection. It looks like a steak sitting on top of a ciabatta roll. The ends were so crispy and delicious, I ate it all despite whatever might’ve been on there. I’m not a prime rib lover, and I liked this sandwich. The fries were nice and crispy, the beer cold… we will be back!

Great little place with an awesome shopping experience around it. The food was amazing and the service even better. I had the shroom and Swiss burger, the flavoring was perfect and it had just the right amount of shrooms and Swiss. The server was attentive and made sure our drinks were always full.

The staff was very friendly, it was just confusing as to why our table was forgotten about. It wasn’t packed, so that’s not the excuse, there was so much staff, they were chatting in front of the fountain machine for at least 10 minutes while I waited for my drink after everyone else at my table got theirs. ♀️My espresso martini took so long to get, they comped it.
We ordered a bowl of chowder, pretzel sticks and stuffed peppers to start. Then 2 fish frys, 1 fish hoagie and 1 veggie burger as entrees. The chowder came out right away but the pretzels came out 20 minutes later and then peppers came out about 15 minutes after that, which was AFTER we got our entrees, which completely defeated the purpose of appetizers. The peppers took so long, that we thought they forgot about them, which they probably did and then just sent them when they were done, when we didn’t have them anymore.
However, the table that sat in front of us, who had a different wait staff, got their drinks right away and their pretzels within 5 minutes of sitting. Their food was so fast, they were paying for their bill as we were getting served our entrees, which was also fish frys. Same thing with the table next to us. They sat and within minutes they received their drinks and pretzels and then minutes later, their entrees. It was very weird.
Again, the staff was very kind and friendly, these are just things that my whole table noticed.
The food was delicious. The pretzels were very soft and chewy and the cheese that came with it was perfect. The peppers were nice and cheesy and the garlic bread was crunchy on the outside, but chewy in the middle–perfect.
Everyone loved their fish fry too. The sandwich was great and the sides that came with the fish were very good. Obviously giant portions, which could mean not as good, but the boys ate these fish up! The veggie burger was very good too. Cooked perfectly and the aoli on it was nice and spicy!
We would % go back, we would just come a little bit more hungry, haha.

2023 update: Went with husband for Veterans day, and as always the food is phenomenal, staff friendly. The tenders are out of this world, homemade, juicy and so ridiculously good. Not to mention Skoob as always goes above and beyond for the community with Veterans day being no different. Thank you Sir for being a constant pillar in the community with the most reliably delicious food/great environment around.
The fish fry are the best in town! I’ve been looking everywhere for a good fish fry that is crunchy without getting soggy and I finally found it! The sides are plentiful, and the dinner is huge!
***Edit: Finally got to come back and it’s better than ever which I never thought was possible! Had the chance to have a peanut butter martini (pictured), and the house made apple bread pudding (sorry didn’t make it to a photo before devouring) you don’t realize what you miss till you have missed it! Also friendliest staff around, and Skoob stopped by (socially distanced of course ☺️) after recognizing us, always nice to feel so welcomed. I can’t wait to bring my son back in, this is by far his favorite place and he’s a pretty picky teen! They have a way of making everyone feel like family Pictures are from today because I actually remembered to take them before immediately devouring this delicious piece of heaven!

Skoob’s is a winning choice every time. Not sure what you want to eat? Go to Skoob’s! Their menu is huge. Everyone can find something they like. The portions are generous and the service is friendly. They have a full bar too. There is a heated (it’s very warm) enclosed patio area which allows extra seating. Don’t be afraid to sit out there on cold days, those heaters crank! Just a nice restaurant in the village that’s clean and comfortable. You’ll love it!
