Wow, while visiting North Bend, I discovered this wonderful little coffee shop/café. What a gem! The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and the barista was happy to tell me about their offerings and help me decide. They have a variety of things to eat (including some vegan/gf pastries) in addition to delicious coffee, tea, and other drinks. I loved my latte with a chocolate chip banana muffin! Oh, and don’t be discouraged by the construction, because parking is easy in a gravel lot on the same side of the street a little ways down. Highly recommended!

Oh my God! The best quiche I’ve ever had. The almond horns are amazing, too. My wife and I come here a few times a week and have always experienced excellent service and a great vibe that’s welcoming and warm. I really love the music, too—a super-eclectic mix that makes me feel right at home. Hartwood is a definite must if you’re ever out this way. Oh… and I almost forgot, the coffee is top notch, sincerely!

Gem of a local spot in North Bend. Plenty of space indoor and outdoor. Catch up with a friend, meet a date, or get some work done, this is the perfect spot!
Didn’t order food, but my Mexican coffee was perfect after my Barista kindly asked if I would like to add some spice! Exactly what I needed to kickstart my morning. Coffee was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy without taking away from the natural boldness of my coffee!

Hartwood Cafe is my go-to spot in North Bend. It is cozy, eclectic, and the perfect spot to read, study, or catch up on emails. Don’t be fooled by its small, street front location either – there’s plenty of parking in the gravel lot behind the cafe. The food is delicious – I highly recommend a slice of their seasonal quiches or one of their breakfast burritos! The pastries are also a treat as well – my favorites have been the almond horn, pecan sticky bun, and the maple scone. Their drink specials are fun and tasty, and their menu staples are also good choices – ask for a dirty chai and you won’t be disappointed! My one note: I do wish that the coffee was stronger – the prices are a little on the high end and I prefer a stronger drink to match that cost. Overall I highly recommend Hartwood to both locals and those stopping in from their travels.
