Is it possible the best pizza place in philly also serves the best chocolate chip cookie in the city? Yes, yes it is possible. It is happening right now at CJ&D’s.

Inside Cartesian brewery, the pizza is very good. Crisp, thin crust, flavorful sauce and yummy toppings!

Some of the best pizza in Philly. Get there early as these pies go quick. The vodka pie is only available on sundays but is worth planning your week around. Located within the brewery, you can enjoy a beer (or two) while you wait.

This pizza is as close to perfect as one could hope for. The pies are an ideal thickness and the crust was a perfect amount of crispy. I tried all of the pies they had, and they were all great. The Nonna was my favorite.
The line to order got understandably long, so if you’re in a rush get to the brewery before the pizza window opens so that you can be one of the first in line.
The beer at Cartesian is also excellent and it was a nice comfortable seating area.

Probably the best pizzas I’ve had in Philly, certainly lived up to the hype. Tried 2 different pies, both were crisp and very flavorful. Preferred the nonna pie and it’s ripe tomato forward flavor. The chefs were very friendly and apologetic as they were slammed and it took an hour to get the pizza. But it was cool to watch them making the pizza by hand, managing the oven and crispness of the pie.

Ordered the Classic Tomato Pie to go. It was very good, simple fresh ingredients. Thin & crispy. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They also have a dining area that is attached to a brewery that also offers take-out. Pretty good all around, I will go again. It is in South Philly so parking can be a little challenging. I snuck into a nearby lot for a little bit.

Fantastic thin-style pizza. Delicious dough and sauce, perfectly balanced, perfectly crispy on the bottom. Be prepared to wait, but it’s worth it. They are popular and take their time prepping each pie. They have delicious cookies now, too. Service is friendly.

Lives up to their reputation, immediately one of my favorite pizza places in Philadelphia. Went on a Sunday to get their Vodka which was super, will definitely be back and hope if they want to do so that they eventually open a standalone location.
