Delish! First time trying NaRe the new Japanese restaurant in downtown Midland. Very fresh, great quality. I love a good seaweed salad and theirs was one of the best I’ve had. It’s a small place and I’d recommend reserving.

Every dish at Nare feels like it was crafted with both precision and pride. The fish is incredibly fresh—melt-in-your-mouth toro, delicately sweet scallops, and beautifully balanced which shows off the chef’s mastery of flavor and texture. The signature rolls are thoughtful rather than gimmicky, pairing bold ingredients without overwhelming the natural flavors of the fish. This was a very authentic feeling and experience. The food was very enjoyable and awesome tasting, as well as made excellent. I would recommend this place which does take out and has a few tables in house for enjoying. The prices are great for what you get and is worth checking out. Tonight we celebrated a birthday with such delights as Salmon Crudo, Otoro (Fatty Tuna), Unagi, Salmon Oshi (incredible) …and a surprisingly great Salmon Avocado Roll.
All in all, it’s amazing to find such world-class quality at reasonable prices, so close to home.
Can’t wait to experience more. (Take-out had fine presentation)

The best sushi we have ever had! The menu offers a creative twist on traditional sushi, showcasing unique flavour combinations that you won’t find anywhere else. Each roll felt carefully crafted with surprising touches that elevated every bite. It is obvious the Chef has great attention to detail. Excited to have a spot like this in Midland! I am mostly vegan so I wanted plant based menu items.
I got avocado roll, cucumber roll, and Kaiso seaweed salad.
The place is really nice and the staff are super friendly. They even taught me a little Japanese.
The sushi is fresh and the avocado roll was so much better than the grocery store. I noticed the quality difference immediately.
The kaiso salad was sooooo good. Wow that’s a good salad. Seriously. I could eat that every day.
This place is awesome. It’s kinda pricey but the vegan options are cheaper. You get what you pay for. Making sushi is hard work and a labor of love. ❤️

Went today for the first time with my daughter and our friends and we absolutely loved it. From the second we walked in the cute little space was beautiful, clean and presentable. From the service to the food we rate this place a 5 star. This was by far the best sushi we’ve ever tasted. Melt in your mouth kind of good. So tender and delicious. We got Edemame beans, seaweed salad (this was like no other we’ve ever had) and we each got 4 different kinds of sushi rolls. To die for. We will be back and I will be ordering takeout from this place often. Telling everyone we know about this place.
