Ty BBQ is great classic style BBQ restaurant in Duluth! We have the most flavorful and juicy roasted duck. The crispy belly skin roasted pork!
Best duck in the city of Duluth GA! If you want great barbecued duck or pork, this is your place. It has the best quality for the best price in Town.

Their quality of the roasted pork has really gone down hill. I’ve gotten large orders of pork here in twice in the past two months and it’s been very disappointing. The skin wasn’t even properly crispy or expanded to be considered heo quay despite being freshly chopped. They had also snuck in a lot of pig feet skin snuck in. There is no spices or real flavor even with the “drippings” sauce. If you decide to still go here and make large orders, I would have them weigh it before taking it away. They seem to short you after it’s been chopped. I would not recommend this especially when there are other places to try. They just have a convenient location.

When I first got into town I was hungry and ended up eating here. Overall, it’s pretty good! It’s located inside and right by the Asian grocery store. Food was good but kind of bland. Like the flavor was there but not enough seasoning. We ordered the chicken and rice and a steamed pork, chives mix bun. It was more like a quick bite or snack. It’s self service, you order at the counter and pay and the food comes out pretty quickly. Since it’s located inside and right by the grocery store, it’s giving cafeteria vibes or food court vibes. Nonetheless, try it out! I can speak for the bbq and roasted duck cause I didn’t try it but it looked pretty good. Till then, let’s eat!

Probably the most expensive option among other meat over rice options in the same plaza. I do like the pickled greens in this one as the other offered steamed. Taste wise is probably the best of the three I’ve tried here. Quantity wise is a bit less than expected; less so than other places. Overall would pay for the taste. The soup is very underwhelming/bland.
Came back again to give these locations another go. Pretty much the same but feeling unsatisfactory. Second and third picture seems like less quantity and higher price point.

Second time here. Really enjoyable bbq. Very quick, didn’t have to wait long at all after the order was placed. The duck and the crispy pork is bomb. Idk what it is but this place separates itself from other Chinese bbq, with unique and quality favors. Can’t wait to try the rest of their menu.

We passed by this place before and the food they had on display looked good and also their food score was a 97 which we thought was pretty impressive. Upon looking at their rather large menu and asking questions to make sure we knew what we were getting, we were assured we could swap out pork for beef. Also we were told that some of the meat they had out which was visible to us was beef. We decided to go with what they had out on display, paid for our order and left. After getting home, we discovered that what was given to us was not what we ordered and instead pork. We wasted $32 on pork which we were guaranteed we were not getting. On top of that, the noodles we got were all broken up, flavorless, and overcooked. The only thing left for us to eat were vegetables of which they skimped out on. Listen to the other reviews when they tell you, you won’t get what you paid for!

Friendly and efficient service, good food, reasonable prices. We’ve been buying food here for years, and the food has been consistently delicious. We’ll be back!

I normally purchased BBQ pork from Ty BBQ . Today I bought 1 lbs of BBQ Honey Pork and with a plus one cockroach on my food! This is not acceptable, and you are serving and selling food to customers and it’s unsanitary and unsafe. I never come back here ever again !

With the quality of their BBQ, I think they didn’t get the attention they deserve. The store is inside City Farmers Market (not in food court but across the check out line) in Duluth, but you can enter the store straight from the outdoor parking lot; that’s how I often go to the store. They have dine-in seats but I always come in for pickup. I prefer to enjoy all those tasty BBQ at home comfortably. The crunchy skin of the pork BBQ is like popcorn, tasty and crunchy. The duck BBQ is also very good, soft tender meat and juicy. Their fried sesame bun (bánh tiêu) is good, not greasy burn as some other places. Their sugar-cane juice is best. They juice it when you order so it’s fresh, plus, they peel the sugar cane and keep it clean in the cooler. You can taste the fresh and clean sweetness of it when you drink. Some other places don’t keep the sugar cane so clean and their cup is not transparent so if you go home and pour the juice out, you can see dirt or impure particle inside the drink.
If you love the crunchy pork skin of the BBQ like me, you would might prefer having the pork BBQ there or hurry home as soon as possible because the longer the pork BBQ stay inside togo box, the softer the crunchy skin will get. If by the time you bring them home and the pork BBQ skin already got soften, you can reheat JUST the skin in the oven a bit (just a little bit). If you put the whole cut including meat and skin to oven, the meat will be dried out, then you will have crunchy skin with super dried meat. I know it’s a bit of work but to taste the food at it best takes work. I have a small toaster oven so it work best for small portion oven-needed like this. If you buy a lot of the BBQ and store them in the fridge to eat later, the pork BBQ meat is still very moist and soft when you microwave them (my longest test is after 3-4 days in the fridge, they still taste good after microwaving but I would not recommend to store them that long). If you microwave the whole pork BBQ pieces (meat and skin), the skin will get very soft but if you’re ok with it, then just microwave the whole thing since the taste isn’t affected by that. I love the crunchy skin so I oven the skin and microwave the meat.

Deceptive Techniques in the Restaurant Business!!!
I went to this place over Easter weekend 2022 while I was shopping at the Pleasant Hill Asian Market grocery store and decided to buy a Peking Duck to take home.
I would normally have purchased this from the the food service that was in the back-right side of the store, however, the line was very long with customers. While in the process of checking out, I noticed TY BBQ near the front entrance of the building and that only one person was inline. That should have been a good indicator for me, I thought I was just lucky and decided to give this place a try.
I pay for the whole duck, which was approximately $32 and was not able to see what I was getting in the box that I purchase. As you can see from the image I attached, the To-Go box was filled and felt heavy, so I trusted that I was receiving the whole Duck I purchased. The cashier tied the To-Go box up with a bag, handed it to me and simply said thank you. Once I got the order home, there were very small portions of duck legs from multiple ducks and various bones parts of multiple ducks, including a couple duck heads. No breast meat at all, nothing but merely bony sections of multiple ducks within the container. This is a dishonest establishment.
If you considering purchasing from this restaurant, I would strongly advise you to reconsider and try another place.
I have purchased prepared food items from the other vendor in the back of the Asian Market and have always been provided with the items I ordered, no deception!!!
If you honestly believe these deceptive workers will provide the product that you purchase, then watch them very carefully as they prepare your order and put your food in the container. You should not allow them to direct you to stand 10 feet away from the counter, as that is what they requested me to do, when only one person was in line. You do not get what you pay for at this restaurant location. You have been warned!!!!!

Loved this place. First time here and I wasn’t disappointed. One of the best Chinese bbq spots I’ve had in GA. It’s a no frills place but the flavors they have in their food are undeniable. Definitely come here with an open mind. It’s a hole in the wall spot with quality food and the food here’s very affordable. Will definitely be back when I’m in the area
