We had just gone for a hike and wanted oysters and a good beer. My Wife and I sat at the bar where Joanie waited on us, very down to earth. Beer was cold, we loved the oysters and split a cod Ruben, delicious and fries were solid! We loved the atmosphere and vibe, way better than the $$$ place up the street! This will be our go to when in the cape, cannot wait to come back!

We ordered online and really enjoyed the cheeseburger and reuban. They packed the burger buns separately to avoid it getting soggy which was a great touch and the Crispy french fries were definitely crispy. The only item we did not enjoy as much was the baked quahog apppetizer but overall it was still a great meal.

Great location with plenty of parking especially for an area where it’s hard to find parking. Wimpy’s is excellent for large parties they have a large dinning room and outside seating. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Great restaurant in the heart of Osterville.

I liked the seafood market attached to this restaurant, though the selection was limited, and enjoyed the fish bites and chowder I ordered. It wasn’t amazing, but it was good and tasted home-made and fresh! I ordered take out, so can’t comment much on the service or restaurant itself, but the decor looked like classic seashore family restaurant. Maybe a tad tired and dark, but not displeasing and I am guessing the older wait staff have been there for ages and are institutions in their own right, though that’s just a guess. Definitely not flashy or posh feeling at all.

The fish nuggets were definitely not processed and came with two delicious sauces and a lemon. The chowder was a tad too thick but delicious!

A quiet afternoon meal on the Cape in the off session. My swordfish was excellent and my wife’s Atlantic Salmon was also very good. Desserts were superb.

Fist visit for us. Fun pub that clearly is a local favorite. Service was good but saw some tension amongst them. Had a turkey club that was OK, fries were good. My wife had chicken parm that she enjoyed. We will be back and enjoyed the pretty village and coastal views.

The food was great and service was excellent. Place had plenty of parking and the atmosphere was nice. The fireplace looks awesome so in the cold if they use it it must be awesome. I would highly recommend this for diner but make sure you make reservations. Eggplant parm, turkey diner , salmon and salad were all delicious

Mark and I were here in March when the Cape was quiet and empty and cold. We sat at the bar and chit chatted with the staff and had a decent clam chowder but that’s all we had. This time we were 6, all having dinner and it was so fabulous. I had the pasta with scallops which was to die for, plump plentiful scallops and perfectly cooked pasta in a heavy handed white wine sauce with mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. We started with a pile of steamed clams which was a little on the sandy side but I didn’t care. The clams were so fresh and tasty I ate them without dipping in sauce. Our friends had the sword fish and the Fra Diavolo which they loved. The salmon was also good and the lobster salad roll was a healthy portion of lobster on a roll perfectly toasted with crispy edges but still soft and buttery. All in all a delicious meal in a very old school homey environment that reminds me a little of a British pub in certain areas, in others it looks like a country inn. There is a large glassed in conservatory in the back which I imagine is lovely during brunch / lunch. Our friend Holly worked there as a teen during the summers and now she has a home nearby and we had to come eat here. So happy we did.

Had the chicken Marsala. I’ve been going there for 60 years and this is one of the few bad meals I’ve had. It was almost tasteless with very little sauce. I’ve had chicken Marsala there dozens of times, even when it was not on the menu, and it was always my favorite. But it recently changed and it’s not the same and not the same cook. Doesn’t even look the same with a darker sauce. Sadly, I won’t order it again. Caesar salad was great and friend’s baked fish meal was very good.

Update: Have the pot roast. Excellent. Large portions.
