Goat Curry, L
Taste: A bit graphic description is that I was glad that I’m not vegetarian. Meat was so tender and well seasoned. Rice and veggies went really well the meat. I loved their mac n cheese!
Portion for a 5’1 woman : I got large to save a half for lunch tomorrow (posted pic). I couldn’t finish the first half today and am going into food coma.
I’m def going back to try the rest on the menu!

At long long last! I’ve been driving to nearby towns for Jamaican but we finally have our very own and boy is it good! I tried the brown stew chicken lunch special and it comes with generous serving of rice and peas and chicken and some stir fry cabbage, and also a Jamaican soft drink! All so delicious! The homemade hot sauce is fruity, sweet and yummy spicy.
They have the works – jerk, oxtail, curry goat and also a nice selection of hard to find Jamaican groceries like canned ackee and callaloo.
Can’t wait to go back and try the other options!! Please everyone go eat there and keep this gem open!

Oh my goodness the curry goat with rice and beans and collard greens was soooo good. Very flavorful and the meat was so tender. Huge portions too. One medium size was plenty for me and my mom. My dad liked his curry chicken pastry too.

I discovered Authentic Jerk at Center Ithaca several months ago and have been returning every week since my first meal. As someone who has traveled to Jamaica for my vacations almost every year since 2000, I can tell you with all sincerity that Authentic Jerk’s food is just as tasty and high quality as the food served in the best restaurants in Jamaica. It’s clear that they don’t skip any steps in their preparation, as the spices and seasonings are authentic, and all the dishes are extremely well prepared. Since chicken is the only meat I consume, I normally order the curry chicken or stew chicken, and it’s always very tender and ready to fall off the bone served with delicious gravy. The rice and peas are well seasoned, and the collard greens and cabbage are steamed nicely with subtle Jamaican spices. The fried plantain, mac n cheese and festival (fried dough) are always good as well. Manners and respect to Authentic Jerk!

3 oxtails, unseasoned and mushy mac, a dab of veggies and a plate full of buffet style rice and peas for $30!…. $35 includimg tip. Everyone has told me how stingy and overpriced this place was and boy do I wish I spent my money elsewhere.

My white boyfriend says it’s the best food he’s ever eaten. It was really good, we had brown stew pork LG and Irish Moss. Best collard greens I’ve had in a long time. Portion was good, the two of us shared the one dish.
