The lady and I came down to St. Thomas as part of a travel group, but we ventured out on our own for food. After a dissatisfactory and expensive experience at the Greenhouse Restaurant and Bar, we decided to head east and see if things got any better in that direction.
It absolutely did…!
The first time around the lady had a simple cheeseburger and fries, but I had opted for the conch with butter sauce, some kind of yellow rice and vegetables.
Both meals were tasty, although I could’ve gone for slightly larger portions and I have a sense that the conch would be both more tasty and more satisfying in the hands of a more capable chef-this is not to say it was bad at all.
The second time around we had some salmon (lox) omelets with some of their passion fruit juice to get the day started right.
I think you’d be quite happy with them versus some of the other nearby venues and since you’ll be sitting quite literally on the water you will also enjoy some rather splendid views of the water while a cool breeze keeps your sweat at bay.
I only went for breakfast. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. If you go on a Friday or Saturday try their local salt fish breakfast and bush tea!
We came here while waiting for the ferry and the staff is very mindful of your time and that you have a boat to catch!
I had the western omelet and my daughter had the bacon egg sandwich. Omelet was delicious full of the fixings and big! Drinks were awesome best Bloody Mary in town!
Patio was nice to watch the boats and sea plane arrive and depart!
Recommend trying it out
