This place was great! I was from out of town and was looking for a torta so I went on Google maps to find where to get one. I ended up picking this place and I’m glad I did

I don’t understand how this place has 4.9 stars. For the life of me I don’t get it. To start off I ordered 3 pupusas de chicharron con queso. The chicharron or the cheese had no flavor, and the masa was raw. My mom ordered a taco de cabeza, and a taco de lengua. The cabeza was mid a best, but the lengua still had the skin left on it and was undercooked. The burrito de fajita I got for my niece was about the only item that was so so, but had a lingering flavor of shrimp on the meat, kinda like she just cooked some shrimp on the griddle before warming up the meat. All in all would not recommend, plus very expensive to boot.

I absolutely love it here! Great customer service, FRESH food and clean atmosphere. If you’re looking for an homely place like tu abuelitas house come here. Everyone was sooooo sweet and accommodating! I’m a vegetarian and they ensured I got the bang for my buck!
The ingredients, cilantro, onions, tomatoes, spinach, avocados …. Etc was sooooo FRESH! Like even the queso chihuahua was moist and had that pull!

As a Latina, it’s incredibly hard to find a place that truly captures the flavors and love that go into traditional homemade meals—but La Excelencia Comida Mexicana does exactly that. From the very first bite, I was transported back to my grandmother’s kitchen. The tortillas taste freshly made, the meats are perfectly seasoned, and the salsas? Just the right kick!
