Was not greeted as I walked in the door. Stood at the counter for several minutes before even being acknowledged while the crew had their own conversations and the guy that was supposed to to be taking orders was to busy about what Starbucks the other kid drove by on his way to work so he could buy him a birthday coffee. When I was finally acknowledged several minutes later, i was told buy a night crew member who was actively working it would be just a moment because they were working on a 14 smoothie order. A few minutes after that and the other guy was done with his conversation, I finally was able to get helped. I have never had such a terrible experience at tropical smoothie and I order from other locations often, I will not be back to this location. I had posted this review the day of my experience by using the QR code they had in the cafe, only for that to post the review on a different locations cafe. Not impressed at all.

During my very first visit to this location the young man who took my order was quite unwelcoming. He was equally unfriendly. The atmosphere at this location was also quite unsettling to me. In contrast, the gentleman who provided me with my drink was in fact very courteous and professional. The best part of my experience was the drink that I ordered. It was skillfully prepared and tasted amazing.

Went in to order a smoothie, three employees were working and not a single one said hello, how are you, we’ll be right with you, sorry for the wait we’re working on online orders, nothing no words exchanged. I waited 10 or more minutes and still no one even looked at me or the other customers also waiting to order. I ended up just leaving because it wasn’t worth it to keep waiting with not even an acknowledgment.
Edit: I’ve tried coming here for a breakfast smoothie a few times around 9:20-9:30 and they haven’t been open despite what their hours are listed on Google.

Picked up a couple of smoothies to bring a little taste of summer home. The peanut butter cup one was amazing! I’ll definitely order that again. I don’t order food here often, as the smoothies are the draw for me.

Got my smoothie and was barley blended like at all. Everytime i drink out of it i jusy get chunks of ice and peanut butter. Would not recommend I don’t understand how you can give a customer a smootbie like this even when the top looks horrible. I work in a smoothie business myself and I know whenever a smoothie isn’t fully finished. They obviously had no problem serving me this smoothie so I will not get it ever again.

Came tonight 8/25 at 8:12pm. So many ice chunks in my smoothie. I hadn’t been here in so long because of the prices but thought I’d treat myself after I PRd on my workout. The workers walked by me so many times I just ended up ordering in the app. Then I waited forever only to find out the person put my smoothie in the Pick Up case without even calling my name or the smoothie name. Later, when she asked if I placed an order I told her it was online. I sat there longer to realize they had no more orders and she never announced my order was ready. While I was waiting, a man and his young daughter waited and waited for someone to take their order. It was really sad to watch because all I wanted to do was take this man’s order. He and his very young daughter were so patient. This place used to be the place to be. Seems from other reviews it’s gone downhill. So sad.

Know what you like and you’ll have a good experience. Quick friendly service. Hubs and I got wraps for breakfast and the size was a bit disappointing since we hadn’t ordered them before. They were only $4 each though. Still a nice treat!

I normally have a great experience at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I have to say, that the Grandville location has messed up my order three times in a row, on different occasions. I tried not to complain but after the third mess up, I called. Here’s where the problem was, not in the Smoothie being made wrong. But the rudeness I received by the girl. She was offended and didn’t believe me that it wasn’t blended right, why would I make something up? She also did not offer any solution (like a new smoothie)
She then said, well dates are hard to blend. I understand that but the peaches were also not blended. All they need to do is blend a bit longer and problem solved.
I make smoothies with dates often and know it’s a timing thing. After me mentioning that I took a picture she said, I can come in and get a new one. Like she was doing me a favor, having me drive back from Alpine to remake a smoothie I paid and tipped for.

Ordered delivery. Smoothie and american wrap. Added a side of pineapple salsa. Recieved a wrap with 60% pineapple inside, i ordered pineapple salsa not this. My question is where’s the eggs? All cheese and pineapple, that i didnt want. Smoothies here are worse than 28th. All you taste is ice. No flavor.
