We came here for lunch yesterday and I ordered from their pick up window, paid at the check out and didn’t wait too long for my order to be filled (less than 10 minutes). Service was very friendly. They have a sitting area if you don’t do take out. I got the super burrito with chicken and it was good but a little too salty for me. My daughter loved her cheese quesadilla and my husband really recommends the 3 taco combo. He got 2 beef tacos and 1 al pastor. We will definitely be coming back!

I live in Gerlach, a rural town of about 120 people, roughly 90 minutes from Fernley, where I teach middle and high school. Our whole town loves Jehova Es Mi Pastor, which is why my students and I chose them to cater this past weekend’s Gerlach Holiday Craft Fair.
As a school, we’re tax-exempt—a nationwide rule that can be a hassle to deal with. Jehova Es Mi Pastor went above and beyond to make this work, even calling their bookkeeper before our pick-up time. Many businesses can’t accommodate tax-exempt transactions without weeks of coordination (looking at you, U.S. Foods CHEF’STORE).
Because we live so far away and had an early morning setup, we scheduled catering pick-up the day before the event. Even reheated, everything was fantastic! The beans and rice were fire (as the students say), and they provided plenty of taco toppings. Everything was packaged perfectly for transport.
The best surprise? They assembled the tacos for us! We expected trays of meat and a stack of tortillas, but this thoughtful touch made a huge difference. Students were serving the plates, and most don’t have catering experience, so this removed a big step and kept things running smoothly.
Whenever my neighbors or I make a trip to Fernley, we almost always stop to eat at Jehova Es Mi Pastor. As our 6th-12th graders say: “10/10, no cap.”

I have been recommended here for a while, 3 breakfast burritos came out quick and great! The sign on the building simply says “Mexican Food”, so be on the lookout for the storefront.
Perfect amount of spice, would suggest getting both red and green salsa on the side if you want more heat. Great staff, great little store inside, and great food.

After traveling to Elko from Carson City on our way back we needed to re-fuel and made a pit stop for some dinner! The food here was god sent! This is not your traditional restaurant because it’s a mix of store front, meat deli and dining! Coming from Carson its not uncommon to see. The little casita the kitchen is built around is adorable and adds to the ambience. The menu has an array of Mexican food options. We have the quesabirria tacos which were phenomenal!! We had some great food and went back for seconds! Love this place will be coming back when we visit Fernley again!!!!

We accidentally found this spot and we are so glad we did! We just moved to the area so we have been looking for our regular spots. This will now be one of them 🙂 I got the Birria Tacos and hubby got the chicken burrito. We split an Horrchata drink and that was soooooooo delicious. Everything was so flavorful and the food came out pretty quick considering how busy they were! Everyone working there was so friendly and welcoming. We can’t wait to bring our friends and family from out of town to our new favorite Mexican spot – Jehovah!

I went there and bought 7 lbs of asada steak last weekend. For my son’s birthday. Worst asada I ever had. Just tasted old and smelled really bad we thought it could be seasoning. But no. We could not even eat it. Be careful when you bring home stuff from deli. 70 somethin dollars down drain and had to order pizza. Blah.
