Neighborhood corner bar and grill with quality food and drinks, at a fair price. Know for the burgers, homemade soups and salads. Large HD TVs for sport watching or plenty of windows for great people watching on 23rd and Lovejoy. Family owned since 1986. Total cheers bar in a great neighborhood
Specializing in burgers, this low-key tavern offers a wide variety of American fare plus a full bar.

Picked up food to take back to the hospital. Mid day on a Tuesday and food only took about 15 minutes, not bad. Sliders were a bit dry but pretty cheap so not a big deal.

Neighborhood joint. Great burger. Great tap beers. Relaxed and lively. Sports on the TV, but not loud. No obnoxiously loud music. Cozy inside, yet you can watch the street activity through big windows, without feeling like you’re on display. Very nice staff. We will definitely be back for another midday break.

Great local bar and grill. I’ve had their Veggie Burger a few times, but on my most recent visit, they served up quite possibly the most deliciously perfect (to me) vegetarian burger.
They have the Original Gardenburger, which is surprisingly hard to find, although it should not be, because it is the OG of veggie burgers AND was created here in Oregon. So many other places just carry Beyond or Impossible, which are fine, especially if you’re craving a more “meaty” experience, but I prefer Gardenburger. It’s a grain-based patty with a great texture and savory flavor without being overwhelming. (Gardenburger is vegetarian and contains cheese. Nobby also offers a vegan patty)
I subbed cheddar for the Swiss listed on the menu and it came out with crunchy cheese bits along the sides where it melted down onto the grill and was allowed to properly turn into magic. ✨ The patty was also cooked well (yes, it really does matter how you cook veggie burgers), and the bun was perfectly toasted. So many places get all the textures wrong, but this was absolutely amazing.
Fries and ranch are also top tier. I’ve never had anything else on the menu….because why would I? The best version of my most favorite veggie burger is right here in the neighborhood.
My only wish is that they’d carry the Steigl Grapefruit Radler, then they’d have my favorite drink to go with my burger. Thank you for being you, Nobby!

If you’re looking for a laid-back spot to unwind, this hidden gem is the place to be. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, perfect for decompressing after a long day. But let’s talk about the food—the ranch dressing here is out of this world. It’s so good, it’s practically legendary.
The wings were absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned. My brother tried the burger, and he couldn’t stop raving about it—definitely a 5/5 in his book. This place might be a bit off the beaten path, but discovering it on my trip was a highlight. If you’re in the area, you have to check it out. BUT seriously the ranch dude… they should make it there daily soup

Great food and drinks, great service, great atmosphere. We were looking for a place to eat while visiting my father in law in the hospital and it was top notch. The sliders are to die for, and the drink I got (vodka blueberry lemonade) was amazing.

Service isn’t really service here. This place should either have an order/pick up window or full service. The in-between can really confuse a first time guest. They will bring you menus but then you’ll wait around and finally have to go order at the counter. They’ll bring you the food out but then not check back. The drink I did order was made decent. The nachos are a plate of cheap tortilla chips nuked in the microwave with most of the cheese melted to the plate topped with a “chili” that had about three beans and mostly some lukewarm, unflavored reddish sauce, Melted sour cream, and more jarred jalapeños and tomatoes than anything else. 9$ for that was pretty disappointing. We had one round and left. Unimpressed and chances are high that we won’t be back.
But Bathrooms are kept clean which was nice.

OK. That was one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. We also had the clam strip. It was also excellent.
It’s a bar, so don’t expect a high-end atmosphere. The service makes up for that.
So glad we stopped in.

Awesome french dip and fries!!!
The place was very busy, but it was surprisingly mellow and relaxed.
Bathroom doesn’t seem ADA accessible, though

You know what, this is a damn fine burger! Great local waterhole, nice staff, lots of seating, lighthearted atmosphere, what more could you want? We strolled in kind of late and the kitchen was just switching over to their limited late night menu, but they kindly squeaked in two burgers for us. And what a surprise when it turned out to be a perfect little burger! The bun, perfectly toasted. Shredded lettuce (which is how it should be!), a big fat tomato and some messy burger sauce. Devoured the whole thing! Plus, I’m picky with my fries, more of a thin sliced, matchstick fry, type of girl. But these thick fries were delicious, perfectly fried and crispy. I’ll be back soon just for the burger!

If you want classic dishes like burgers, fish and chips, patty melts, and onion rings, you can’t go wrong here. Everything we’ve tried we’d order again.
Classic tavern atmosphere inside, outdoor seating so we can take the doggo, and excellent service.
Now I think we need to try them for breakfast
