This spot had a different restaurant previously. Located on Spring Mountain directly across the street from Roma Deli.
The Dim Sum menu is listed as a Breakfast menu

What we ordered:
1.) Seafood Tofu Clay Pot $18.95 This was very tasty seasoned very balanced tofu was firm and seafood was fresh. Good portion size
2.) Stir fried rice noodles in XO sauce $8.99 this was fried just right just enough XO sauce to keep it balanced in flavor.
3.) Various Dim Sum dishes $5.99-7.99. My friend said they were just ok which I agreed with!
4.) Stick rice wrapped in Lotus Leaf $6.99 This is the reason for the 2 Star Rating. I found a bug larva in the rice! yuck (see last photo) I hope management sees this review and has a talk with the kitchen staff. I threw out all my leftovers because I was so grossed out after seeing and almost eating it! Wasted $80.00 of food!

Food was average to below average. Egg sauce gravy noodles was watery making the dish soggy and tasteless and no “wok hey.” The seafood pan fried noodles had little proteins with squid, small shrimp and some veggies.wide noodle wrapped Chinese donut was below average with the noodles being thick so the noodles did not drape on the donut. Siu mai and lotus leaf wrapped glutinous rice were average at best. Saw a lot of hype for this restaurant, but did not reach my expectations. I’d rather visit China Mama, SK Seafood, Rainbow Kitchen as these are just a few of my favorites in Las Vegas. Some of the Casino Chinese Restaurant are also very good which I rate separately for the off the strip restaurants.

We found Ellie’s Chinese Restaurant through a Google search. The reviews are good. We are a little late for dinner due to hotel check-in issues. We want a fast, delicious meal. I am a little concerned when I see two tour buses just picking up their customers after dinner at this restaurant. It turned out I agreed 100% with the reviews that said the food is delicious, which is very accurate. We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. The food is so yummy. The best dish I’ve ever had is the salty fish chicken fried rice. It is one of the best I have ever had. The rest of the dishes are excellent as well. The customer service is also very good. All the workers are friendly and have a smile on their faces all the time.

I am confused by some of the poor reviews posted here, as it was not my experience at all.
1 reviewer even said the dim sum portions were small. They are the largest I have ever had, and I eat a lot of dim sum. I suspect several of these 1-star reviews are from competitors.
That being said, all of the dim sum I had was great. Service was quite efficient, and very culturally accurate, meaning not overtly outgoing. All business, little English spoken.
In addition to enjoying numerous dim sum offereings, we have also had a huge dinner party on another date. Service was efficient, dishes were generous. The soup was phenomenal.
If I had one “complaint”, which I don’t, it would be there may be a slight lack of flavor or spice in some of the dishes. This is easily remedied by utilizing accoutrements.
Happy Dining to you all.

Came here in a recommendation by a well known food critic that has a pod cast and was pretty let down. It was claimed that place is better than new asian bbq. I % disagree! We had the Peking duck and this lady did a pretty bad job! I’m sure her knife was dull and struggled cutting it. She would slice then tear. Not the way to do it. Then we had the satay chow fun and it was ok. Had better. Then had the beef noodle soup. Soup and beef was good but they used noodles you use to make pancit. Terrible choice! Only thing that was good was the Chinese broccoli. Obviously it’s a Chinese restaurant so all the servers have zero customer service. They look pissed. Only one that was seemed decent was i think he’s the manager.

We had dim sums and a dinner the same day and both were good . I usually do not like to tell the wait staff anything unless absolutely necessary. My minor issues were one the free soup could be hotter and two the otherwise excellent dishes were a bit salty. In which the waiter listened attentively and we left it like that .
In these days with fierce competition, I think this place is trying hard on quality food and service and they have done well.I also like to say they have very good prices .That being said I highly recommend this place.

*Update: They now have some new menus where the lowest dimsum prices start from $4.50 and go all the way up to about $9. But you can get them cheaper at another dim sum place nearby and much more delicious.
They also have a $45.99 lunch combo where you pick 3 dishes, but white rice is $1 per serving, with no soup. But there is another Chinese Fuzhou street food restaurant offering the same price long before this for 3 dishes, plus a huge bowl of homemade soup and rice is free of charge.
Their regular menu prices are on the higher end close to $20 for each dish as well.
So considering the price and the mediocre taste, I don’t think it is worth going anymore.

Went there during their grand opening and there were a lot of people and some tour groups. They have a wait list but its rather confusing as no one was there to tell us to sign in.
The wait was not long and we were seated after 10 minutes wait. I love that they use disposable table clothes on their tables as they are very hygienic. They have a dim sum special of $5.99 each on all dim sum now. This price is on the higher end compared to other regular dimsum restaurants for regular dimsums like siumai and hargow. There was a server pushing a dim sum cart all the time.
Some of the dimsums were cold but they did give us new ones so that was a nice gesture. Dimsums need improvement as they are not as tasty as other restaurants. It would be better if they were made to order like other restaurants to maintain the freshness.
I also heard that they will have a new chef soon, so give them some time to improve as they just opened.
One of the drinking cups was dirty and we just left it there but a server noticed that and quickly changed the cup for us. I have noticed that their servers were caring even though some of them don’t speak English well.
The stir fried dishes were a lil too salty and some of the veggies were too old but okay tasting overall.
Summary: To attract more customers, they need to either have a lunch special menu, cook better or have a lower menu pricing in order to compete with all the others dimsum and Cantonese seafood restaurants in Las Vegas.
I would give them time for improvements as they are newly opened. But the service was good so we will be back.

Service and food were excellent. They changed plates couple times during dinner. Brought water and tea without hang to request them. The ginger scallion chicken is the best I have bad. Bean spouts were perfectly done.
Highly recommended.

Grand opening sign still visible . Had some dim sum selections and food was prepared fresh and brought out. Portions were generous while the prices are pretty standard. Place fills up fast during lunch and the front parking lot is small. Recommended for some pretty tasty dim sum choices
