Definitely a lot of positives here. First service was prompt and friendly. Food portions are humongous and the food came out TEMPERATURE HOT!!!!! Most restaurants today serve lukewarm food. The food was piping hot and delicious. The price point was extremely reasonable and it’s a local Rockville spot. If in the area definitely stop by. The phots do not do the portion size justice.

It had this beautiful balance of garlic and cheese that wasn’t overpowering but added so much depth to the dish. Each bite of that silky, luscious sauce coating the pasta was like a little indulgent moment of comfort.

Don’t use the too good to go app. Literally just put a salad and garlic knots sitting on the counter in a bag and said here you go. I’ll feed it to the birds

I’m back on their list for go-to Italian. Delighted to have discovered they will make any pasta dish with zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash! Been eating Mama Lucia’s at their various locations for 30 some years. Like several of their dishes. No atmosphere to speak of but that’s not why you eat their food. Usually take out!

I am a big fan of the chicken Parmesan dinner and side salad, and dining outside under the pergola.
The restaurant is not large, but it does have it active takeout business. They’re a handicap spots and the restaurant is handicapped accessible. It is also very kid friendly.

If you want traditional Southern Italian, look no further. Pizza is delicious, the lasagna is amazing, even something simple like spaghetti and meatballs has lots of flavor.

Food: The complimentary bread with their red sauce served was delicious, even if a bit oily. I did like the novelty of it. The pizza- it was HUGE but the crust felt more Pizza Hut than a New York- style thin, hand-stretched pizza even though they said that is what it was. It was also a tad more oily than I like. TBH, I havent found many good pizza places outside of NYC doing the NY style well.
The carbonara was pretty decent but again, felt a bit heavy and oily than a usual carbonara.
Service: The staff was friendly, maybe a bit overworked, so service was slightly slow- but it was a busy day, so will give them a pass on that.
Atmosphere: I liked the outdoor seating area but during rain, the fancy slates for the ceiling didnt do much- and we needed to use the umbrellas.
