The worst customer service I’ve ever received. We ordered food to sit down and eat together. Half the food came back super spicy when we asked for it medium hot. To my surprise the server wanted to taste it to make sure it was spicy and that we were not lying.
Once confirmed they took the two out of the five dishes back to get re made. While we sit there waiting for our food not once did anyone come to apologize to us. We finally get our last two dishes while half of us were done eating.
The bill comes and we were charged the full amount no compensation for food being served wrong. We pay. I then decide to share my thoughts about the service and how we were treated and instead of owning up to their mistake I received push back and denial.
I truly would not recommend this place. I am extremely disappointed in the whole experience.

I had the chicken tikka masala with a spice level of 3 which had plenty of kick. The food was excellent. The service was top notch. I will absolutely return.

We recently visited Taste of India in Bellingham as a group of six. Unfortunately, our experience started on a disappointing note due to the behavior of the front desk/server, whom we believe is named Sam. His attitude felt rude and unwelcoming, and his sarcastic responses were hurtful. As guests, we expect at least a basic level of courtesy, but sadly, we did not feel valued.
For food, we ordered chilli chicken, fish pakora, goat curry, four chicken biryanis, aloo paratha, and chicken keema naan. The appetizers, curry, and paratha were good and met our expectations. However, the chicken biryani was not very satisfying. The portion of raita served was extremely small — about 2 oz per biryani (roughly two spoons). Even after requesting more, the quantity remained insufficient for four biryanis. Additionally, the biryani had fewer chicken pieces and more rice than expected.
Later, another staff member named Mukthar attended to us, and his service made a noticeable difference. He was polite, attentive, and helped improve our overall experience. He also offered us three small gulab jamuns, which tasted excellent. We truly appreciated his professionalism and kindness.
We respectfully request the restaurant management to address the behavior concerns with Sam, as such interactions can negatively impact both customer experience and the restaurant’s reputation. We are sharing this feedback because we were genuinely disappointed and hope improvements can be made.

I literally cannot say enough good things about my experience there. I went there with with my husband and children for my birthday because I was craving something a little different.
I had no idea I would be so hooked!!!
The tandoori chicken on the hot sizzling plate was beyond amazing and I’m so glad I ordered the six piece instead of the three-piece because everybody wanted some lol
The servers helped us with choices because we hadn’t been to an Indian restaurant before and didn’t really know how or what to order
They recommended an Indian beer to my husband based on what he said he liked and the server was all like I got you and brought him something that he loved
Which is good because we have no experience with Indian beers
The sauces that they brought to the table were amazing!!!!!!
All of the food is literally some of the best food I can ever remember having
So many layers of Flavor Put together with love that made every bite sing in my mouth!
And I am Actually, pretty picky at restaurants because I cook at home from scratch all the time and make some pretty darn good food
And a lot of times the restaurants aren’t necessarily as good as my home cooking
This was so much better than my home cooking!!!
In the past three days since I’ve gone, I’ve gone down the rabbit hole of ordering the Indian spices and everything because I need to learn how to cook this delicious food!!!!
But it wasn’t just the food
Normally, when you go to a restaurant, you talk about the service that you received
But we didn’t necessarily receive typical restaurant service
What we received was straight up hospitality!
Like the owner and the people that work there had a heart of hospitality to not just get you what you wanted, but to serve from their hearts and make you happy❤️
It’s what I try to do with my family that I always send them home with 1 million leftovers even when they say they don’t need any
I felt cared for and taking care of by the owner and those that worked there, That I wasn’t just a paycheck, but they loved to serve people their food like a mama with their kids
I know it sounds a little strange
But in this day and age, maybe that’s the kind of strange this world could use a little more of
We all know that going out to eat is pretty expensive these days, And we look at reviews to make sure we enjoy where we go and spend our money
You won’t regret going to taste of India!
You will regret that you’re not super rich that you can’t eat there every day
We had the veggie sampler and I got the tandoori chicken, My picky 12-year-old got the chicken Samosa appetizer as a meal and was going on and on and on about how good it was. My husband got the lamb curry and my 19-year-old daughter got the butter chicken.
The only thing was that my husband didn’t realize that the Indian style curries didn’t have all of the vegetables of a Thai style curry so there was an issue of expectation there. The meat and the sauce were very good to him though.
Everyone kind of shared, but I have to say that the tandoori chicken on the hot sizzling plate with onions and peppers was the star of the show.
We definitely took home all the leftover sauces
My favorite was the green sauce, But the other two sauces were also delicious.
If you’re going out to Indian food, you can’t go wrong with taste of India!!! But be warned you’re gonna wanna go right back the next day!!!!

Absolutely delicious food. Ordered takeout first and was blown away, then dined in a week later because we couldn’t stop thinking about it. Our server was fantastic- he perfectly balanced being attentive without being annoying. He even brought extra rice for leftovers! Definitely the best Indian restaurant in Bellingham, hands down

I just wanted to reach out and say how much we enjoyed our to go meal. The food was incredible—especially the butter chicken! Having it serve with rice made it the perfect, satisfying dish. Their chai tea is so far the best I’ve had and a must try! More than that, we really appreciated the kindness of the owners and staff. It’s rare to find such great food paired with such friendly service. Thank you!

We are from Spokane passing through and decided on Indian food. This place is the best I have had in many years. No where in Spokane can you find quality like this. The chai tea is creamy deliciousness. All entrees ordered melted in our mouths…..We will be back!

Tonight was my first time having Taste of India (I ordered takeout), and it was AMAZING. It is hands down the best curry I’ve had in town. What makes it even better is that it’s priced better than the other places I usually go to AND the portions are better! I ordered spice level 2, next time I will order level 3 or 4.
