In a town where an appetizer of deviled eggs goes for $13… Maria’s Cafe offers family served home cooked comfort food at prices that are as kind as their servers. My Crunchy Cod sandwich, ($15.95) served on a huge toasted and lightly buttered kaiser roll was incredibly tasty. The open air atmosphere makes for an audibly peaceful experience, with views of Haney circle and historic buildings.
My server, Chris , grandson of Maria herself , was attentive and accommodating . Go back in time where great food, great prices and excellent service still exist!

I had an unexpected treat tonight – dinner at Maria’s cafe in Stuart. They are now open for dinner Thursday through Saturday nights. I decided to get out of my comfort zone and go for the liver and onions. It was delicious!!! And their prices are great. ( not sure how they can be this low). My husband enjoyed the meatloaf and my daughter loved her grouper sandwich. We will be back for sure.

Not only do we enjoy a great Sunday breakfast at Maria’s, now they’re open Thursday-Saturday evenings for dinner. Wow! The calamari appetizer is delicious. Yummy dinner menu. Great friendly and awesome service. BT

The food was great! Everything from the bacon to the eggs was just the right texture , flavor and quantity.

Maria’s customer service is exemplary because not only did my waitress check up on me but the other employees would also check on my table consistently.

The atmosphere was very comfortable. I felt as if I was at home.

Overall the experience was great and if I was ever in the area I would definitely return.

Local favorite, the legendary Maria’s Cafe, has (finally!) started serving dinner on the weekends! It’s the same friendly faces you know from their daily breakfast/lunch service, but with new dinner-only entrees: steaks (my filet was excellent!), chicken, seafood, salads, and specials. In a downtown filled with fancy, high-priced options, Maria’s does what it does best: great food, well-priced.

First of all fantastic staff very efficient, quick nice atmosphere. But they need to fire the Cook. The food was tasteless lifeless something you would get out of a survival kit. worst breakfast I think I ever had the whole table thought so if you’re looking for great service, this is the place but if you’re looking for good food, go elsewhere 1/11/26

This place was amazing, the setting is super nice with an open area and even the inside has these big windows that really make you feel you can enjoy the outside. I ordered the huevos rancheros and they were so good – I loved the authentic cuisine and how it felt like a really close-to-home taste I haven’t found elsewhere. I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Full disclaimer, I cannot comment on the food quality because we did not even get a chance to sit down and eat. Some man, I’m assuming who is the owner, met us at the door with a nasty attitude and let us know that he doesn’t till time so he refused to give us a wait time. Which is normal restaurant practice. The entire energy of the place was off, and we decided to leave. We were a group of five black women visiting the area for the first time, and were excited to patonize the local restaurants. The unwelcoming atmosphere felt like we were going to sundown. I would not recommend going to the place if you are not a local and especially if you are a person of color. We went across town to a chain restaurant and had immaculate service. We told our server we were in downtown Stuart previously and she immediately called out this restaurant and the owner before we even mentioned it.

If I didn’t already love Maria’s Cafe for breakfast and lunch I was super excited when I heard they opened for dinners! I have already eaten there several times and everything was delicious! The Chicken Francese is one of my favorites and as always the service was spot on.

This was our second time having breakfast here. The first was great and even the coffee was amazing. The last time however the coffee was as weak as tea. I got eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce tasted like it came out of a garbage can honestly. My wife had the Greek omelette that had sausage in it that was absolutely tasteless. The service was like friendly but we had to ask for a refill on the coffee. We’re not gonna go back in all likelihood. I think maybe there’s a different cook or different ownership now
