This is the second time in a span of a few years I’ve visited this location for lunch and got extremely stale bread. Both times I ordered the Italian Herb and Cheese. I even asked the owner if the bread was fresh and he said it was. LIES!

Thought I’d be getting a typical subway experience but boy was I wrong.
Bread was stale, lettuce has a weird taste to it, missing one of the meats in my order, and the footlong sandwich wasn’t even cut in half and everything is falling out. I ate about 4 bites untilit completely ruined my appetite. Avoid this subway until they get fresher ingredients and improve their ability to put a basic sandwich together.

It’s a clean enough Subway more or less, except they’re sooo expensive and so stingy in every way! Coupons work on certain sandwiches only and they do not give enough vegetables. I asked for more green peppers, the only vegetable on the sandwich, and was limited to like 8 cuts of green pepper. This is the most expensive Subway in the county, I’m sure (outside of airports, stadiums, etc) and it shouldn’t feel so cheap.

The staff is always friendly here. I took off one star because on the 1 million sub give away day, 7/12/22 they were not participating. They also don’t take coupons you find in your regular mail…

Subway used to be my favorite fast food restaurant but I have been disappointed by quite a few in the last 2 years. Food and service were inconsistent. This one, however, surprised me with good food and service. Will visit again in future trips to Pittsburgh.

Shawna is a great additional to this store but she hasn’t been there for a while. I’ve been overcharged multiple times and even today when I bought a breakfast sandwich. They have a whole sign for the new cheesy garlic bread and no where on it does it say it costs an extra .75¢ and the sandwich artist didn’t mention it either, but when I got to the register I was charged extra. There was only one worker there handling a long line and I was rushed through telling the topics on my sandwich. The woman kept cutting me off as I’m trying to tell her what’s veggies I wanted. I’ll be finding a new subway to go to until Shawna comes back or all together if she doesn’t.

I frequent this Subway a few times a month. From day one of working in downtown Pittsburgh, the staff at Subway has greeted me with a smile and sent me off with a smile. This subway is usually very busy between 11:30-1:00. These folks still get their customers through the line promptly and with good customer service. I have often been at the end of a long line and found myself served before I could become impatient. This is usually my Friday night stop on the way home, different staff sometimes, but still great customer service. I have visited other Subway establishments many times, and I can’t say the same nice things. This Subway on 7th Ave is very clean as well. In the fast food service the turnover rate is high, so it is possible to get a a few bad apples. Those apples don’t last long. I hope this review is helpful.
