Gardenia is easily one of my new favorite Mediterranean spots in the area. I visited with my wife, and everything from the food to the service was excellent.
We started with the hummus and pita, which was a great surprise. I’m not usually a big hummus fan, but theirs has a really smooth, clean flavor. The pita was warm and soft, and the mix of black olives with olive oil on the side added a really nice touch.
My wife ordered the lentil soup, and after trying a spoonful, I immediately regretted not ordering my own. It is easily one of the best lentil soups I’ve had — full of flavor, rich, comforting, and seasoned perfectly. Definitely top-two in my book.
For the entrée, I chose the large mixed grill platter (around $50), which comes with steak, chicken, lamb, and another kebab. It also includes two generous portions of rice, grilled vegetables, and tzatziki. The amount of food is impressive and absolutely enough for two people to share. The meats were tender, well-seasoned, and cooked just right.
For dessert, my wife went with the chocolate mousse while I tried the pistachio cake. Both were excellent — the mousse was rich and smooth, and the pistachio cake had great texture and flavor.
One of the highlights for me was actually the mango lemonade. The first sip really stood out — refreshing, balanced, and surprisingly good.
The restaurant itself is very clean with a nice setup and comfortable seating. The owners and staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. You can tell they are proud of what they serve.
Parking is easy since it’s part of a larger shopping center with plenty of spaces.
There is still a lot on the menu I want to try next time — especially the gyros. I’m very happy Cumming has a Mediterranean spot this solid.
Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys great food and great service.

Absolutely wonderful food, and wonderful people! Very attentive service! Went in and got some of that great Mediterranean flavor I have been looking for. Menu had a mix of Turkish, Italian, Greek…some great stuff! The chicken shawarma and steak shawarma platters were phenomenal, as was the mozzarella falafel. My wife really enjoyed the Turkish coffee and my son loved his mango lemonade!
Fresh food, great flavor, and above all, the most wonderful people! We will soon be back to sample more of this menu, for sure! Please support this place! We’d love to see them succeed here in Cumming!

Warm, inviting place with delicious, well-seasoned food. We tried the chicken shawarma roll and falafel roll with rice and fries—everything was prepared with care and full of flavor. The mint lemonade was incredibly fresh and a must-try. The pistachio cheesecake was light, airy, and to die for.
The couple who run this place have a lovely story—take a moment to chat with them. A wonderful Mediterranean addition to the Cumming area. Highly recommend.

We stopped here after church and was pleasantly surprised. We were warmly welcomed. The gentleman was very attentive to ensure we were taken care of and had everything we needed with each course. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. We will be going back again to try other foods on the menu.

Nice cozy place, we were served by a very friendly gentleman, the food was delicious, they gave us a delicious and fresh hummus with some olives in olive with pita bread, I loved everything, we ordered a steak shawarma plate, a traditional shawarma, some chicken tenders with French fries for our son. Finally a delicious baklava dessert I’m sorry I didn’t take a picture I ate it before then I reacted. The girl who attended us was a little serious but her service was excellent. I would come back again without a doubt.

We were looking for something new and different for dinner one night and found this hidden gem. We ate an incredible diced olive/oil spread on pita bread appetizer, one of the recommended chicken and shrimp specials, a chicken kabob, and a small Greek salad. The service was outstanding, as was the food. We were sent home with a piece of pistachio cake to try, and it was out of this world delicious! We highly recommend stopping here and enjoying a meal!

The food is outstanding—truly the highlight of this restaurant. However, the service experience was deeply compromised by the manager on duty. Despite the restaurant being full of dining customers, I was screamed at by the man in charge when I asked a simple clarifying question about whether to pay at the table or cash register. He appeared completely overwhelmed by the closing process and responded with an aggressive emotional outburst, completely lacking the composure required for customer service. The management’s volatile and rude behavior completely detracts from the quality of the cuisine. Be better “man”. Control your emotions.

I brought my mom here while she was visiting and we were both blown away. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish, and the service couldn’t have been better. Everything came out very quickly, and someone from management even stopped by to check in on us, which made the experience feel extra special. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, with soft music that made it perfect for catching up. From the appetizer to the entrée, every bite was wonderful. Highly recommend Gardenia—we’ll definitely be coming back next time she visits!
