What a great place!! Everything was so good. We had a cheeseburger, a bacon cheeseburger, and a shrimp piled on a hoagie. Fries with everything. And we of course had to have milkshakes- which were amazing. Everything tasted wonderful. We can’t wait to go back. My daughter said it was her new favorite place. We all liked the 50’s theme all around also.

For starters, atmosphere, music, decor and overall setup, staff seem pretty good.
I got a triple burger and fries, and the food was very average I’d say and the burger had 3 gristle pebbles in it maybe one for each burger who knows, but I never got gristle at McDonald’s that I remember, or White Castle. I hate pebbles in ANY form.
Now onto the burger flavor, it was like canned ground beef. Big not small in quantity but it tastes like a ground beef version of canned corn beef no lie. You’d be much better off going to Burger King. Has nowhere near that Varsity burger flavor out of ATL or it makes Golden Corrals burgers look totally gourmet. I’m not kidding.
Fries salted ok but overall plain tasting. Hot and fresh but I just think it’s the food altogether in these places. It’s subpar overhyped food.
I went here, I always been curious about it since Irmo had one but I just never went and i happened to be real hungry and went to this Florence location or else Ida went to Huddle House but they fkn closed at 12.
Now in the picture this burger and fries looks great right . Trust me I’m just as surprised it wasn’t.

Will never eat here again…the food wasn’t right at all. The hot dogs were sitting on top of the buns. Our onion rings were not cooked completely. Call back to speak with the manger TINA. She was extremely rude and inconsiderate told us she has no control over what her workers does. Asked for cooperates number she hung up

Ordered through Google. When I arrived a young lady placed the bag on the counter in front of me. It was a small bag, so I asked where my salad was, she said in the bag. I asked if there was ranch in there, she said no, so I asked for two. Then I asked if there was a fork in the bag, she said no, so I requested a fork. I then had to tell her that I had a tea with the burger combo, and a brownie shake. I then had to wait. The salad was near $5 the shake also was near $5.

Service was great. Our server was amazing and very friendly. Food was good with exception of shrimp platter it was way too greasy and it looked like oil hadn’t been changed in a while. Our shakes of course on point.

First time eating at a Hwy 55.
The service was friendly and the prices are fair. Thats about it.
The burgers are not anything special. Served with cold american cheese on it. The french fries were on the edge of not being cooked and were as plain as could be. When I mentioned the fries to the other person I was dining with she said her tots her cold in the middle.
I got a concrete which was pretty good.
The restaurant itself needs some tlc. It feels dirty in there. The floors, walls and menus.
Overall it wasn’t awful but would not go out of my way to come here. Nor would I recommend to friends.

Food was amazing as always. Service was great during the week, during the weekends I notice they are a little short on servers and service suffers because of it. On the flip side they are currently hiring, so hopefully that improves soon on the weekends. I recommend going during the week day when it’s let’s crowded. Pic below is of a chicken Philly cheese steak. I recommend the onion rings fried hard.

So disappointed in my order today. I order chilli cheese fries via delivery and they ne a small cup of chili and cheese that covered maybe 4 fries. I definitely didn’t get what I paid for. Not sure idea this was but this is sad!!

My family and I decided to try Hwy 55 here in Florence, SC, since we really enjoyed the one at the Coastal Grand Mall in Myrtle Beach. This was our first time ordering at the Florence location, so we chose to do take out. Big mistake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since we were in a rush, we didn’t check our food…….so I was extremely shocked and upset to discover the burnt chicken tenders their restaurant decided to give me. This experience was horrible and I will not be returning to the florence location.
