Me and my best friend (that was her birthday that day) visited Domo in Harrogate for the first time on 13th of February 2026. The whole experience was great . The costumer service from the moment we stepped in was so warm and engaging. Lisa, such a quick witted and sweet and smart girl, made the experience even more memorable. As we rarely eat Japanese food we weren’t sure what to choose but Lisa guided us through and was very honest as well about food portions without us having to ask about it. I chose the octopus balls and I was blown away with the presentation and creamy filling. My friend had the ramen pork broth soup that it was enough to take away and eat later at the hotel (bonus). Other dishes we had was gyoza, pork in BBQ sauce, tempura vegetables and prawns, mushroom skewers and the most succulent aubergine dish called nasu dengaku. 10 out of 10 for food 11 out of ten for the costumer service. We will come again soon for sure.

Lovely Japanese restaurant with the best sushi I’ve ever eaten, I’ll never have shop bought again. The crab sushi was especially excellent, service was amazing and extremely polite and the atmosphere was amazing. The Mrs had a kimchi pork bibimbap and she loved that as well. Will come here next time I’m visiting.

Had a really nice lunch here. The bento lunches were very reasonably priced. We got a bento each (5 of us) and a couple of sashimi lunches to share, and after drinks and tip it came to about £20 per person. We tried the tori kara (fried chicken pieces), tempura, spicy BBQ beef and teriyaki steak lunches. All were nice. The sushi and sashimi were fresh and delicious too! We walked in and didn’t have to wait for a table (it was 12:00 on a Tuesday though) but it got busier very quickly so I’d recommend phoning ahead to book a table. We really enjoyed it and will be coming back.

Such a beautiful little local restaurant. Their extensive sushi menu has everything you could want or ask for, all prepared freshly to order by their trained sushi chef. The service is phenomenal. Authentic Japanese approach to the service, where they are genuinely thankful for you being there and nothing would be too much to ask.

Absolutely amazing food! We had sashimi, sushi, tempura and teriyaki, and it was all amazing. Plus macha icecream and mochi balls for pudding. Domo feels so authentic, the staff are really friendly and service is really quick. It was a real treat and I definitely will be back!

This is my first taste of Japanese food and my first taste of restaurant fish (and in this case, eel) so I cannot judge the flavour too much, Id say it was nice but I’d need to try more to say whether I actually like it too much or not. aside from that, waiter was exceptionally nice, atmosphere was good, bit expensive but I went in expecting that. Overall, good first go, will be back for more.

Always a favourite local spot . I’m vegetarian and the amount of choice is fantastic! Not a place for puddings but for sure an exceptional list of fresh starts and mains. So cosy, great for our date night ans family/ friend times too. Always come back!
