I had the best chicken gyro that I’ve probably ever had. It was juicy tender and absolutely delicious. The perfect flavor. I definitely will be going back. Update I just returned today and had their version of a grilled chicken Caesar salad. It was delicious and so fresh. I have to say, they are impressive. Here is a photo of the chicken Caesar salad

Update Oct 16, 2023. Missing the dog days of summer? Or the nearby Gould Park pool. No worries – enjoy your dose of sun on the blue bench out front. This south-facing perch is a super sun trap. Just bring your sunglasses and the staff inside can prepare a quick snack or more substantial meal
I’m a frequent morning customer and live nearby. Parkside makes excellent made-to-order sandwiches and heros. My fav is the turkey breast with cheese, lettuce, tomato and mustard. When family visited at the end of May I ordered a large three bean salad – it was especially delicious with fresh lime and cilantro. Convenient for westbound traffic on Ashford Ave. with 5 parking bays alongside the road.
Update Feb 2, 2024. Gray day outside; Punxatawny Phil doesn’t have a hope of seeing his shadow! But here you can start your day on a bright and cheery note no matter the weather. Maddi and his staff make a super breakfast served with a genuine smile
Update March 18, 2034. Cold winds but warm sun on the bench out front. For our Spanish-speaking neighbors: Incluso en los días lluviosos el sol brilla aquí.
Update Sept. 19, 2023. Enjoying a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese and coffee. Reasonably priced at $4.50. Manager always greets me first before taking my order details. Sunny bench in front is a super spot. This is a green business; manager delivers orders himself with e-bike.

Classic Deli experience. Super friendly staff, good selection and best of all – delicious sandwiches. My ham and cheese on a roll was great. And the Pastrami and Corned Beef was even better. Def coming back.

I am a Bronx native, traveling from Florida back to NY for an event. I always stay with my friend, who lives in walking distance to this place. Holey moley I love this place and could never wish something so amazing a 1/2 block away. Breakfast served fast, and hot. Boars Head cold cuts at *cheaper prices than S. FL * Prepared food available at some point in the day and it was delish. They somehow fit an amazing amount of useful household goods and food within this tiny store. Well worth a visit.

I always buy my breakfast here,a bacon egg cheese hero and my coffee. And for lunch they have a variety of sandwiches,wraps, paninis, and cold boardshead sandwiches, also homemade Hispanic food, I like the cheeseburgers, the meat is half a pound.
