As a truck driver I sample quite a few different places. This was definitely one of the best Chinese buffets I’ve been to in the northern Midwest. The kitchen seems to be very experienced as buffet items didn’t run out for more than a few minutes yet were never overfilled with food that wasn’t going anywhere.
It was pretty much the standard Chinese buffet items; sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls, fried rice, pot stickers, chicken on a stick among other items.
However, the Chinese mustard is the travel style packets of what must be the weakest strength/flavor. The beverage service seemed a bit lax also.
Overall I’d recommend this location. The few negatives are far outdone by the positives.

Oriental Kitchen sign by the road says : “Open Seven Days A Week.” So we turned around and lettering on the door says: Closed Mondays. Thanks for nothing. After purchasing fuel at the neighboring Truck Stop, I asked about the Oriental Kitchen and the cashier said not to bother eating there. She told me the Friday & Saturday evening buffet at the nearby Ho-Chunk Casino is to die for. On my return trip at the end of the week I will go to Ho-Chunk Casino for their Friday buffet. Hey Oriental Kitchen Owner…….CHANGE YOUR SIGN by the road saying it’s closed on Mondays ! Duh.

Just love the authenticity of some of the dishes. Their lomein is off the charts!! And absolutely one of the dishes I always get. Their jalapeño chicken is my main entrée that makes me love this place and reminds me to come back everytime. Typical Chinese atmosphere but with the taste you’re craving.

Yum! The outside of this restaurant is deceiving, it might not look great on the outside but inside it is much better. The food was hot and fresh, they kept everything well stocked, the service was prompt, and the restaurant itself was very clean. A couple dishes I didn’t care for but that is just personal taste. And I have a kid who is a picky eater and there wasn’t a lot that she was willing to eat there. Overall it was a good experience.

So, if you never had Chinese food from California, then you probably wouldn’t notice the difference. For me, it is not what I prefer. Yellow fried rice is used in Hispanic dishes, in my opinion. Usually, pork fried rice is white rice fried. So I wouldn’t eat here again. Other than that, it was hot, and portions were good. The dish pictured is the lunch special General Tso chicken and pork fried rice.

DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE!!! Absolutely 5 stars! First time ever here and it was fabulous. I have had some pretty bad Chinese food but not this place. The cream cheese wontons were fried to perfection. The teriyaki chicken was moist. The fried sweet bread was melt in your mouth good. The chicken and broccoli was fantastic (the broccoli was soft but not mushy), the stuffed shrimp was flavorful, I cannot say enough good things about the peanut chicken. The honey chicken was good. My husband said those were some of the best fried wontons he’s ever had. The fried rice had great flavor. He did say his general tsos chicken was more sweet than spicy but it was still good. That little chocolate cake was probably the best I’ve ever had (it’s usually dry but this one was not). The bananas were fresh. They used high quality yogurt and crisp apples and the banana pudding was thick! This place is a must try!!!

We are regulars at Oriental Kitchen. We usually order and carry out, so everything is made hot and it’s fresh! Our favorite’s are jalapeno chicken, friend dumplings, and chicken on a stick!!
The only downside: the restaurant needs a good cleaning! If you can overlook that, definitely go. The food is worth it!

We were on our way back from Wisconsin Dells, and stopped into the Oriental Kitchen for dinner. What a treat! One of the best Chinese buffets I have had in a long time. The food was fresh, yummy, and the service was good and fast. Plus, the restaurant was very clean. We’ll definitely be back if we are in the area again.

Stopped here on my way thru but was very disappointed at the buffet. The warmest thing on the menu was the ice water. Everything was cold and lacked flavor. I won’t stop back.

My high school buddy and I usually meet here for lunch every month or so and we always have a good meal. Food on the buffet is always hot and fresh when we’re here and the restaurant always seems clean and organized. Staff are very pleasant.
