we were staying at the hotel next door and thought this would be a good place for dinner. we came in during a weeknight so it wasn’t busy. staff was friendly and the restaurant was very nice.
we ordered a birria burrito and grilled chicken with rice. both were very delicious and the burrito was large. you could get two meals out of it. chicken was juicy and tender and the rice and beans were delicious as well.
they have buy one get one free margaritas all day everyday too! we didn’t partake in it but next time we might have to.

Enjoyed a light dinner at the bar, and a beer and margarita. Pleasantly served with chips & salsa, and had a quesadilla. Items were reasonably Priced, the food was fresh, and the portions were generous. The one thing that could improve our experience would be if the chips didn’t taste burnt. Our bartender brought new ones, and they tasted the same. At least I was able to enjoy my guacamole on the quesadilla.

Lot’s of food. Service was great. The food wasn’t as spicy as we expected but it was still good.

The exterior may look like an ordinary Mexican restaurant, but there are some culinary treasures inside!
We didn’t sample the drinks, but a wide variety in the bar area – I noticed – including some real speciality liquors.
We had the Birria french fries, chunky guacamole, and Steak Jalisco.
My daughter is a very picky eater and she wiped out the steak. Every bite. Ive yet to have guacamole as good as they made here, and the Birrias fries were so good, we drove BACK to Niceville from 30A our last day just to have them again.
Would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. It’s worth driving out of the way for, and if you’re staying in Niceville, it’s a MUST TRY place!

It’s hard for me to write this review because it takes a lot for me to say something negative unless it really warrants it. I was there between lunch and supper so it was pretty quiet when I came in. I ordered a chicken dinner but when my meal arrived it was steak… I’m not opposed to steak so I informed the waiter that I would keep it and not return it. But as soon as I started to eat it I realized I had made a terrible mistake. The steak and onions were so overcooked I could not tell the difference between the two. Also not once during my meal did the waiter ask to refill the salsa or my drink. I left feeling like that was the worst 25.00 I ever spent on a meal.

The place was busy and loud, even for a Friday night. A bunch of kids were wearing baseball uniforms and running around the restaurant, with no efforts to curtail their behavior. The food was good, my wife and I shared the pelusa texana with a side of tortillas and also churros for dessert. I think the server could have paid more attention, at one point he just grabbed a stack of napkins from a table that had just been used and put them on our table. Very unprofessional.

The service tonight was NOT up to par, like it normally is. The Hostess wasn’t warm & friendly. Then Edwin, our waiter, was RUDE especially when we asked for additional items we needed after he brought us our meal! I’ll take my business to Chapala in Niceville where you’re welcome, the staff is friendly, & the drinks/food never disappoint 🙂

Just moved to Niceville and lucky for us this place was right next to our hotel. We ate here 3 times in 3 days. Delicious!!! Chicken enchiladas (white meat chicken and delicious sauce) and Camerones Diabla (spicy cayenne sauce left me sweating!). Service was great and prices were fair. Happy to call Niceville home with our new favorite restaurant. On a side note, the bathroom has a really big handicap stall for accessibility. And they have a nice outdoor seating area.

We were visiting from out of town and our hotel was next door. It was a Saturday night. There is not a lot of restaurants in this small town and they close early, at least to what we’re used to. Also, the restaurants here are a bit expensive. Anyway, we didn’t find anything else we wanted and decided to just eat here, next to our hotel. We should have found something else. Where we’re from, we have good Mexican food. This was nowhere close to what we’re used to having. I ordered Chili Rellenos, which is my favorite meal. My son got an enchilada plate. I appreciate that they bring chips and salsa complimentary but the chips are thick and not good. My son got a Michelada, without seeing it or knowing what it cost. It was very large but was also very expensive – over $15 for the one drink that was made with some cheap tasting mix. The chili rellenos were the worst I’ve ever had. They tasted like they were made on a day other than the day we were there and then heated up in the microwave. The coating/breading was soggy and gross. The sauce also tasted old and was very thin. So bad I didn’t even eat a whole one and left the other there instead of taking it to have later, like I planned. My son didn’t eat all of his enchiladas either. Not good. The rice and beans were okay but it is hard to mess them up. Service was just so so. Over $50 for two horrible meals. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.
