Sit-down space for Neapolitan pizzas from a wood-burning oven, plus pasta, antipasti, wine & more.

Yes, yes, yes.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful spinach salad with pears and Margherita pizza with extra basil. They forgot the extra but before we could say anything Louise our bar tender was right on it. Great guy. We are out of towners but he made us feel like one of the locals. Great atmosphere. Even had a surprise clown ( not the scary kind) that was hilarious.

We sat at the bar for dinner and served by the bartender who was extremely pleasant and attentive. The 2 stuffed zucchini flowers and smallish burrata were both excellent. The pizza crust was a little too thin for my liking but still very good. The linguini with meatballs was a little disappointing. The linguini was swimming in sauce. The ground meat for the meatballs was ground too fine and the sauce tasted like it came out of a jar.
The portion sizes were definitely reflective of the reduced price on the Happy Hour menu. All in all, still pretty good.

The BEST rigatoni bolognese. When we visit Palm Desert we always make this place a stop. You won’t be disappointed.

Was in town for the month with my wife. Sadly she had to fly home for a couple days to have two scans done for her breast cancer surgery. With much concern for my wife and nothing to do on the evening of 2/22, I started calling around to find a restaurant that allowed dogs on their patio which Piero’s said they did. When I got there I parked and came in the north entrance. I was met after I came in by a gentleman that welcomed me and said I could sit on the patio, so I went out and sat at a table with my dog. A waiter came by and asked if I had been seated and I said yes, the gentleman that met me when I came in said it was okay. After sitting at the table for more than five minutes I had another very rude man with two other customers in tow ask me the same question. I answered the same, that I was told I could sit at the table with my dog. He then very rudely and in front of the two other customers, proceeded to call me a liar and said he was the one seating customers. He then told me the table was for two other people and asked me to get up and leave the table. With my dog in tow I went back in the restaurant and with some difficulty found the check in desk in the middle of the restaurant. I was sat and told I had until seven to eat. The food was fantastic, the waiter very helpful. I will not come back again however. The way I was treated by whoever is in charge of sitting guests should be fired if they treat all guests the way I was treated. It would have gone over very well if he would have said there must have been a mistake, then let me know the table was reserved for others. This was my first time in your establishment. The reception desk is not near what I assumed was the front door. I just wanted a quiet place where my dog

This was the most authentic pizza I’ve had in a very long time! The service was great and the atmosphere was very nice as well. I will for sure go back to try other items on the menu. We had the Calamari and it was so delicious!

So disappointed in Piero’s. After coming here since 2020, it’s turned into one of those “you should be so lucky to be here” places. Shame on the host, Frank, for being so rude he nearly brought my wife to tears.
We had a 7:15 reservation, were running early, and called on the ride over. Frank said the walk-in wait for two was about 15 minutes. We told him we were 14 minutes out. His response: “Well, that could change before you get here…” rude from the jump.
I dropped my wife to check in while I parked. When I got back, she was visibly upset. Frank told her we couldn’t get on the walk-in list because we had a reservation, and that he’d seat us “closer to our reservation,” all delivered with zero kindness. She was practically in tears.
Blessing in disguise.
We went down the street to Trattoria Mezzomondo, also packed, and were welcomed into a true Italian, family-owned spot. They walked us through the menu and specials with care. The homemade pasta was extraordinary? you could taste the love. The host/owner, Luda, was an absolute delight and genuinely wanted us to feel taken care of. It felt like going to Grandma Marie’s back in the day.
The cherry on top? The receipt said it all:
“Remember, we are cooking for you.”
Exactly.
I can’t recommend Mezzo enough.
Maybe Frank was having a bad day, but I doubt it, and I won’t be giving him another shot. Frank, go eat at Mezzo. Experience Luda. Soften your heart and relearn what leadership and hospitality actually look like in an Italian restaurant.

We LOVE Pizza Vino!!! The Neapolitan pizza is the best pizza in the desert. If you like thin, crispy crust and very tasty toppings you will be very satisfied. We usually sit in the bar and enjoy the service of either Luis, Andy or Ruth. They are all great and the Happy Hour all day adds an additional benefit. Their house wines are very solid and a great value. The salads are also awesome.

Exceptional authentic Neopolitan pizza . I have tried most of the pizzas but the simple margherita is my fave! I had the arugula salad to start with the citrus dressing and of course town’s best cappuccino ! Love this place, atmosphere, service and food all top notch.
