I will go out of my way every time I’m passing through Reno, just for Moo Dang.
Went looking for a good thai place while I am in Reno and had this spot recommended to me by a local and the Google reviews looked the best. This place was even better than advertised. I brought my good friend who had spent time living in Thailand and he said this was best thai food he’s had in the states.
Their thai coffee was legitimately perfect. Nothing, i would say, could be improved. I had the Pad See Ew for my entree and it was delicious. Had a really deep flavor without feeling too heavy or wearing over time. It tasted amazing from the first bite to the last. I’m also glad they didn’t give me white people spicy and gave me some legit heat within this dish.
My friend had a northern thailand style curry and he loved it as well.
The staff was incredibly kind and helpful and had everything out in a super timely manner. They could not be better as well!! Awesome place i will be going back to and if you’re looking for thai in the area, you won’t be disappointed going here!!
The food is either too spicy or too bland on taste, and they don’t give or ask if you want any sort of extra sauce/dip for appetizers.
The place is cute, with movie posters all around, in Thai.
I don’t get why the restaurant has a Spanish name at door.
We were a large group of about 40 with no reservation on a rainy evening (after being turned away by another nearby restaurant), and Moo Dang graciously accommodated us even though they were already quite busy. The food was top-notch — authentic, flavorful Thai cuisine. My cousin, who grew up in Bangkok and has spent years there, said it was the best Thai food she’s had outside of Bangkok!
We’ve been back several times since and recommend it to everyone. Too good — highly, highly recommend!
I walked in starving. Then I see this one waitress coming toward me holding two plates of food. My soul literally started celebrating. A single tear forming. I thought, finally… my time has come.
Then, at the very last second, she hits the sharpest left turn I’ve ever seen in my life. Formula 1 level cornering. I swear she looked me dead in the soul as she delivered both plates to the table next to me.
My hunger instantly evolved into grumpiness. Not anger, but that silent rage where you just stare at a wall and think about your life choices.
But once my food finally landed, the world made sense again. All was forgiven. My stomach was full, my mood restored, and that waitress went back to being my hero.
Five stars. Would emotionally suffer here again.
