We got in at 7:30 on a saturday and they were SLAMMED busy. We waited about a half our for the table which was expected since they were so busy, and the hostess was so so so friendly and so communicative about our wait time. When we sat our server David was incredibly friendly. We ordered a ton of food and it all came out incredibly fast. The tempura was incredibly crispy and not oily at all, the chashu pork belly was fall apart tender. We got so many rolls and the fish was insanely fresh. The spicy tuna roll was hands down the best spicy tuna roll I have ever had, I could still taste the fish and the heat was very pleasant and hit at the end of the bite. The moonbeam beach roll was insanely good. The staff was so friendly, the restaurant itself was very welcoming and warm. I loved it so much I made a rewards account. All in all I cannot wait for my next visit.

Sushi Spot never disappoints! The staff are attentive and knowledgeable about all things sushi. The menu has a wide selection of delicious sushi rolls with every possible filling you could imagine. There are six or seven different types of vegetarian rolls, and the miso soup can be ordered vegetarian, as well! The best part about our last visit to Sushi Spot is that the chef was willing to make us a special dessert roll with sweet egg, strawberry, macadamia nuts, and a strawberry compote topping. This creation was so well rounded and absolutely delicious, it should be added to the menu! Thanks for accommodating us, Sushi Spot, and we look forward to dining in again soon!

Just went for the first time but it won’t be the last. This special role had tempura shishito peppers and spicy tuna. It was the best thing I put in my mouth in years! Will certainly be back.

Crazy how I have lived in Eureka/surrounding areas and haven’t eaten at either of their locations. The staff at the Arcata location was so friendly. I went in one evening by myself and they sat me in the window bar and it was perfect and cozy. The food was delicious

We came here for dinner during our road trip to the area. Tried the shrimp tempura, edamame, lemon salmon sashimi, salmon donburi (new seasonal) and the Alaskan sushi. The sushi, donburi and tempura were great.

Sushi Spot has always been my favorite spot to get sushi (sorry, couldn’t resist) in the area, but finally leaving a review after a decade plus because of their recently added Happy Hour! The Crispy Rice, Kizame Poke, and New Style Sashimi are all *so* good —and now in addition to a discounted beer price, they have also added discounted cocktails to the Happy Hour offerings. The best!
Also, outside of the Happy Hour items, I never leave without having some Hamachi Nigiri because it is excellent, and their House Special Rolls are all excellent (the Klamath Roll has always been a favorite of mine).
All-in-all, a really great meal!

Passing by the City of Arcata while on a Pacific Coastal Road Trip and stopped by to see a friend in the area and met up here by the recommendation of the friend. The food is good & fresh and the service is relatively fast.
Plenty of street parking and the restaurant is located right by the Arcata Plaza which is the center of the town with lots of cute boutique shops around the square.
Recommend to stop by for a quick bite!

Amazing food! The service was inviting and casual. Everyone was super nice. Our server was super helpful with the menu and helped me pronounce the names correctly with such grace….highly recommend the chashu pork!!! It was my absolute favorite dish. Yummy

First time eating here. The sushi is good, good for arcata or Humboldt county I guess. The rolls are loaded with rice, but still pretty good. We got a pork appetizer and it was not that good. It was barely warm and was basically a pork chop with teriyaki sauce. Not pork belly at all. If you have a craving, this spot will do. All in all, I don’t think I’ll eat here again.
