You can go other places that have lunch specials that serve more. This is the brown stew lunch special, I did not touch the food, as you can see it’s a pretty small portion. But the food is good. Also, if you pick a meal with two sides but want Mac and cheese they give you a small scoop of Mac, and it’s considered 2 sides. So you can’t have an extra side cause Mac counts as two, even though the portion is small……

be careful which Golden Krust you go to.
Not all of them, serve the same or have the same understanding of what it means to get what you pay For.
The Golden Krust near Wellstar Hospital is not generous with their food.
The food is not hot.
They are very strict regarding servings.
I have pictures of what I spent $42 on.

First time here in a while and the curry goat was very salty. Also found a hair embedded in the food. Likely won’t be back for some time again.

I have come to this location over 5 years.
At one point, the foods’ taste & customer service fluctuated into the “less desirable zone”.
Today’s (12/27/25) food was Great..The Service Attendants were VERY polite & Accomodating when replacing an “unevenly cooked” Jerk chicken leg. The male even gave me a courtesy serving of Plantains. I had jerk chicken, rice & peas with brown gravy & cabbage. The taste & service were GREAT. The portions have decreased. The price is constantly increasing(approximately $19) beyond my budget. I will plan for this restaurant as an “occasional treat”.

I stopped by Golden Crust for their Thanksgiving free meal event, and even though I haven’t tried the food yet, I’ve got to say—I’m impressed already. The aroma alone had me ready to grab a plate, and the whole setup was smooth and organized. Everyone I interacted with was polite and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The fact that they’re offering free meals with tickets is a blessing to the community. I’m genuinely pleased with the entire process so far. Looking forward to digging in!

Believe it or not this was my favorite first time going into a Golden Krust, I have heard the hype over the years about how good their food is, I went kind of late in the evening around 5 or 6 pm. They weren’t very busy and it looked like they were running out of certain dishes that you could put in your container to-go. They had a very popular items rice and peas, jerked oxtails, seasoned cabbage, cocoa bread and jamaican patties, which you literally had to ask for because they keep them separate from the food that’s being served on the counter. The overall atmosphere was nice, however I will say that the amount of food I got cost over $30 it seemed a bit expensive to me so I don’t know how I feel about that but I would go back and try some other dishes whenever they have some more different items put out or I’ll go back at an earlier time but if you’re in the Austell area check them out.

Ordered on door dash so I wouldn’t be late for work. Got there and saw my order sitting where the togo sit. I had 2 women who worked there snarl at me and tell me I had to wait. Then they just kept walking past me not saying anything. There were 2 women who were going to town on the sample cups, the employees shooting the breeze. Then after what seemed like 10 minutes, I was asked what I wanted. I told her my door dash order, and showed her the confirmation. She spent another five minutes looking for my order which was clearly sitting there waiting for me to pick it up. Long story short, I never go to a place that treats me like garbage again.

Rice and chicken were both dry and taste like it was cooked the day before! Not worth the attitude you have to put up with from some on the ladies that work there, they don’t even greet their customers when you walk in,.I knew I should have kept my money and went to real restaurant!!! I will not be back
