Authentic fresh absolutely amazing pizza! It is our treat every so often to have the Greek pizza and we add the sliced sausage. It is well worth the money! Delicious so flavorful and sorry I’m adding the picture after we ate most of it. Highly recommend this wonderful pizza❤️

So, my husband and I were coming home from a play in DC (an early one, ended at 6:30), and we decided we’d pick up pizza when we got home to take home and continue our date night. We looked for a pizza place close to the metro, and picked Giuseppi’s. I literally said “the reviews seem good, and anyway, it’s pizza, and there’s no such thing as bad pizza.”

The gods laughed. We got a pizza that was *literally* raw. So raw the dough stuck to the paper underneath and could not be peeled up. It was absolutely inedible. We kind of cut the very edge crusts and had a bit of pizza, since it was at this point 7:30 and our date night dinner was ruined and there was no chance to get something else with any timeliness and we were, well, hungry. But it was pathetic.

Okay, so I wrote the company, and included the video (which I’m including here) of the raw pizza. They did very quickly refund the money *for the pizza* (hence the 3 stars for service), but honestly they should have refunded the entire meal (it was just like 8.50 more for the onion rings) since their bad service pretty much trashed our date night dinner. But whatever, that was how they dealt with it.

So I appreciate their response with the pizza, not their entire response (making it right seems like more than a refund for raw pizza, but that’s just me), but still … somebody at their Rockville location decided to serve a customer *clearly* raw pizza … not slightly doughy, but the bottom crust seems fine, or cooked but that upper layer of crust is doughy … nope, raw. I can’t believe it’s just us, but even if it is, that’s another level of bad – some customers get less good food than others?

I’d go elsewhere.

Pizza here is consistently excellent. Very cheesy, very tasty. Reasonable price for what you get which are large slices and a good amount of toppings. Plenty of space to sit though sometimes noisy and tables can be +/- on cleanliness. Generally pretty solid. Folks behind the register vary widely from expressionless to friendly. If the food is good, I don’t worry that much about it. But like many places with younger folks behind the register, you can leave feeling like they are grateful for your patronage or like you are interrupting their Instagram posting spree. Overall I really like the food and generally leave quite satisfied with the experience.

If you want a good thin crust pizza it’s hard to beat Giuseppi’s especially for the price for their 2 slice cheese + soda special for $8. The slices are large and tasty.

Other food is very good – not the best or greatest, but very good.

The people who work there are friendly. Food is served fairly quickly with a free refill soda station.

The atmosphere is okay. A bit like cafeteria style with tables and chairs and a bar top section facing the main strip.

It can get quite busy with the weekday lunch crowd in downtown Rockville. That’s a good thing!

As someone originally from Philly and Jersey, I have super high expectations for pizza. I ordered a margarita pizza and was deeply disappointed. The sauce was so thin and watered down. The taste of flour was more prominent than even the cheese. This might be the most bland pizza I’ve ever eaten.

Giuseppe’s Pizza is such a great family-run place! We’ve been coming here for years, sometimes before a movie, sometimes after. Highly recommend their Greek pizza—it’s my absolute favorite! The service is always friendly, and the atmosphere feels like home. Definitely a spot you don’t want to miss!

The pizza was worse than frozen. The crust was underbaked and tasted like flour, the sauce was underseasoned, and the cheese needed a mountain of Parmesan and oregano to be edible. We had 4 people sharing 8 slices and we couldn’t finish it. I gave 1 star because the fries were incredible. I won’t be back.

NY style, but without NY flavor or texture? Flavorless crust, crunchy but without chewiness. I’ve had better twice-baked pies. Cheese was good, sauce is lightly flavored, sparse, but needs a little more ‘something.’. Decent for a quick fix, but nothing I would venture out to get. I had their pizza by the slice and I don’t know if the full Pizza is any different.

My NY friend said she likes Papas John’s crust better, and that’s not NY style either. I’m really surprised by the shop quoting Wash Post about their pizza review, but maybe their full pies are better.

Online fact check shows they may have had NY style in 1986, possibly 2007 (Different name?)… But trust me, times have changed… Or the Wash Post reviewer got fired.

3/4/4, but food quality and flawed advertising drags it down to a 3. At least put the year of a writeup you’re quoting, unless you’re intentionally trying to mislead people.

Friday night is Family Pizza Night at our house and we normally order delivery, but since this place is in the Rockville Town Square right next to our Regal movie theater, we decided to walk. So glad we did! Very friendly staff behind the counter who paid me a compliment. I’m amazed how far that simple thing goes in customer service. Being nice to customers is free. I love that they get that here. Anyway, we waited a few minutes for our custom pizza to be made and watched other customers treated with the same kindness. Refreshing to see in this day and age. We walked the pizza back home and it was delicious. Can’t say how authentic it is to New York style pizza (and don’t really care). This is our neighborhood pizza joint and we will be back!
