It opens at 11am. Just arrived 10/2/2025 and the sushi track isn’t running items for your picking. A paper ordering menu with a shared pen is currently available. No pictures of what you are ordering is available as some people don’t know the names of their favorite dishes.
However the appearance of the Poké Bowl looks delicious.
I have been coming to this place for the past 12 years and today was a let down for fast dining for a quick bite of lunch or a snack.
But overall I’d suggest it being a quiet location for a casual date or something for yourself.

They only have 4 tables besides the sushi train seats. We had sashimi and sushi rolls. Everything fresh. Their sliced ginger was 100% fresh ginger. Gluten free soy sauce available

This is our favorite sushi in Vancouver by far. The green dragon roll is a staple. Asparagus rolls are another of my favorite. My boyfriend loves their Vegas roll which says a lot considering he doesn’t like them elsewhere. The ramen is delicious. The cucumber salad is delicious. The calamari is delicious. Every thing we have tried, we love! The service is also always amazing. Fast and fresh.

Such a great sushi spot. Their sushi rolls are far better then all the sushi spots around the area. I’ve been to them all in hazeldell and this one is my favorite. The Vegas roll is simply amazing. Alaska bake was absolutely phenomenal. The scallops were cooked perfectly melted in your mouth. All the sauces on top complimented the dish perfectly. All the flavors blended together so nicely. The restaurant is very spacious inside. The tables and booths are very roomy perfect for spreading out all the dishes to try everything. Restaurant was very clean. Staff very friendly. If you’re looking for a great sushi spot this is it. Best bang for the buck

My favorite sushi place in town ❤️ lived in japan for years and I am a little fussy about my sushi but sakanaya always delivers exactly what I need ❤️ the staff is always so amazing and kind, the sushi chefs are extremely skilled. Well worth it whether you’re eating in or getting take out. Their udon and poke bowls are also very tasty! I highly recommend the sunshine roll if you like a little bit of citrus!

Our server was attentive and a great conversationalist! It was fairly slow when we went in and she was lovely. We ordered a few rolls and we eat every last piece! Amazing food, great service, and a memory my family will have forever. A wonderful meal!

We tried Sakanaya Sushi today for the first time and I can’t believe that this restaurant has been here for 17 years?! Don’t know how we missed this hidden gem. Staff was amazing and so attentive to our excited and hungry kiddo. Love the open sushi prep vibe in the middle of the restaurant. Try the Sun Shine, Seahawks, Volcano Roll, oh I can go on lol even the Shrimp tempura was on point . We all enjoyed our time here, definitely recommend this family friendly place.
