I was a bit disappointed with my experience here. The chips were not served warm and tasted fairly generic, possibly a little stale. The salsa was also underwhelming—it mostly tasted like tomato juice with some lime. They do offer a spicier salsa that was a bit better, but still nothing special.
One issue that stood out was the timing of the food. My meal came out about 10 minutes before my partner’s, which made it awkward to start eating. When my partner’s dish finally came out, the plate—especially the rice and beans that had just been served—was still only lukewarm. Unfortunately, the same was true for my meal by that point as well.
The sides were also disappointing. The refried beans had already started to congeal and were barely warm, and the rice was very mushy and mostly tasted like water with just a hint of seasoning.
On the positive side, the meats were seasoned and cooked very well, and the service was excellent throughout the visit.
Unfortunately, with several better Mexican restaurant options nearby, this place didn’t stand out enough for me to return.

This place is a true gem for our area. My bestie invited me. I was hesitant since it’s in an old Hardee’s but, dang, it’s a girl’s paradise! Every corner is a photo op, the food is excellent, the service is impeccable and the prices can’t be argued. Go ahead and buy the giant drink, you’ll save money in the long run. Daytime server, Daniella, is a friend to all.

This used to be a Hardee’s restaurant.
It’s been nicely redone inside with lots of artwork and very colorful.
I really liked the three sauces they brought out with your chips. The mexican ranch was nice! And the regular mild and hot. Also very tasty.
I’ll definitely stop in again when I’m in the area.
There is plenty of truck parking too in the bigger parking lot right beside the restaurant.

My sweet co-worker bought me their vegetarian enchiladas for lunch one day, and I ate every bite! My family and I have since dined in. I will say the food has been constantly delicious and the staff are very, very friendly. My youngest even said her rice was the best she has ever had and requested to go back. Unlike any other Mexican restaurant I have been to.

Service was impeccable here. Was skeptical to go here as Cancun has been my favorite (service has gone down hill there since Elmer hasn’t been there). Monteverde has my win, especially taco Tuesday. You can mix and match tacos which is really nice considering I wanted to try various meats. I highly recommend giving Monteverde a try. The spicy salsa is a nice touch too. They also have a cold Mexican ranch that is served, which was interesting and different.
Go check this place out and give them a try. I truly think you would be please.

First time eating here at this location. Atmosphere is great! Clean & festive. Lots of light! Menu is easy to read. Lots of variety to pick from. Chips tasted a little stale, but the hot salsa was on point! Our meal was hot & delicious. Our quesadilla & burritos were full. Wait staff were friendly & positive.
