Perfect spot for a beach beer! And love music on Wednesday & Friday in the summer!

We soaked up some sunshine and sipped on cold beers after a walk to the beach. The umbrella covered seating made it a great place to relax.

We didn’t eat but the food looked fresh and they had a nice selection on their menu. Something for everyone for sure!

Update: as we have been back multiple times since my original post. We’ve tried the good and so far the burrito was our favorite.

Also love that they have an additional bar and live music during the summer months on Wednesday and Friday. The musician was really good and added to the fun of the evening.

Only stopped for a beer and coffee whilst walking to Venice beach along the promenade.
Service was slow but not the fault of staff as was alone and busy with orders.
Coffee was lovely whilst sat overlooking the white sands and promenade in the hot californian sun.

Pretty good food right on the beach. I had the Mahi Mahi tacos, my husband had a burger. Tables are shaded with umbrellas, and you can watch people skate/bike by, and play volleyball.

This place has become one of our favorite stops whenever we’re biking along the boardwalk from Santa Monica to Marina del Rey. Perfectly situated right across from the beach, it provides fantastic views of the volleyball courts and the ocean. When it comes to food, we find it quite satisfying with a good variety on the menu. I typically go for the 2 eggs any style with toast (complete with butter and jam), and the rest of my family vouches for the quality of the burgers.

Perry’s Café in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, is a fantastic spot for enjoying great drinks and tasty food right by the beach. The atmosphere is laid-back, and the menu offers a nice variety of options that won’t disappoint. The only downside is that they close a bit early, just before sunset, which can be a bummer if you’re hoping to relax and watch the sun go down. Still, it’s a lovely place to visit during the day and take in the beach vibes.

Historical plaque inscription:
During the first decades of the twentieth century, numerous pleasure piers dotted the beach. The White Star Pier was built in 1905 at the foot of Hollister Avenue.
It was renamed the Bristol Pier in 1909 and re-designed in an L-shape. In 1919 a portion of the pier was removed and the remainder was widened.
Actor Nat Goodwin took over the site and opened Nat Goodwin’s Café. At that time, the pier was re-named the Crystal Pier and remained until it was demolished in 1949.

Such a great place to stop for breakfast during our first morning in Santa Monica. My avocado toast was a bit light on the avocado, but the eggs were fantastic quality and cooked perfectly. I ate every bite! Service is a bit slower but the ambiance is great and once you place your order you can take a seat at a table and watch everything happening on the beach.

Perry’s is such a great beach bar!
Only place in Venice & Santa Monica you can actually lounge on the beach

The outdoor bar has delicious margaritas & painkillers, a must-try for a relaxing ambiance!

I was in town alone and thought the beach butler service sounded fun. I didn’t book ahead since I wasn’t sure when I’d arrive. When I asked about it at the bike rental area, the girl there was super rude and said it needed 24 hours’ notice — even though the website doesn’t mention that.

I called the number listed and spoke with a nice woman who came out to help and made it happen within 30–45 minutes. My butler was great, and I appreciated that the manager accommodated me.

Probably not worth the $85 since alcohol isn’t allowed on the beach (my bad for not knowing), but the real issue is that an employee was turning business away.

Visit was Sunday 10/05…
