State Burger is exactly what you hope a hole-in-the-wall burger joint will be—unpretentious, fast, and genuinely excellent. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the food comes out quickly without feeling rushed or sloppy. Everything is served cleanly on a tray with small condiment bottles, which is a nice, thoughtful touch.
The burger itself is where State Burger really shines. It’s immaculately assembled with fresh, beautiful ingredients, each one clearly placed with care. The bun is perfectly toasted, and the smash-style patties are cooked to perfection with outstanding flavor—rich and beefy without feeling greasy.
The fries deserve their own praise: fresh, hot, and perfectly crispy, exactly how fries should be.
Then the house sauce ties everything together—rich, balanced, and seriously addictive. It elevates both the burger and the fries and easily stands out as one of the highlights of the meal.
Simple food done extremely well, with attention to detail that shows in every bite. I highly recommend stopping in for a good burger.

The food was good! I got a pimento cheese and bacon burger and that was good. HOWEVER THOSE ONION RINGS, those were gasaroonie. The batter to onion ratio was 10/10. Also, the lady at this register was very kind. Her pink hair was as vibrant as her energy. She was very patient with my indecisiveness and for that I’m very appreciative. The system was a bit old so it didn’t accept my card (it said I was a fraud ☹️). But thankfully I had cash!

Just happened upon this burger spot! Pleasantly surprised. Smelled yummy as soon as I hit the door. Ordered “burger of the month” spicy jalapeño for my hubs double stack. The server alerted me to the lunch special for me since it was my first time and I wanted a basic burger (not a speciality). Great hospitality & customer service … most servers now don’t try to save you and money or tell you about deals. I was impressed that the lunch special was allowed on the weekend too. Great deal… burger with coated/battered fries and my fav Pepsi.

I find myself craving this place. Typically I’ll get the chopped cheese with fries. Everything is seasoned very well. The fries and onion rings are crispy and the onions bite through without pulling. And don’t forget a side of the burger sauce.

Employees were friendly and helpful , food was pretty good , my issue was the pricing and the restaurant atmosphere , it feels like an old mall food court , with the prices youd expect maybe something as far as better service but you dine in , you have to get up to grab a heavy tray of food and take it back to your table , not that theres anything wrong with that but to spend 11$ on a burger , 4$ on fries , another 3 for a drink , and on top of that a tip? Id expect some sort of even ground when it comes to service , although the food was good the price is not worth it at all when you can go to chili’s and get basically more in terms of pricing , service, and atmosphere.

In my first visit, the burger I ordered was so JUICY and DELICIOUS!! It was the special for that month and it had some sort of jalapeño pineapple jelly? Kind of like a sweet and spicy. I’m not sure, but I loved it. Fries were hot and crispy as well! Unfortunately I ate it so fast that I was unable to take a picture of it!
So I decided to visit for the second time and ended up taking my meal to go. I got the double burger and it wasn’t as delicious as the first burger I tasted, but it wasn’t bad either! Unfortunately my bottom bun got soggy from the pickles (granted, I did ask for extra) so it wasn’t AS enjoyable, but it was still pretty tasty and the fries were still crispy!
One thing I wish was for the burger and fries to come as a meal instead of paying for each individually. So I wouldn’t eat here alll the time due to the price. BUT I do want to come at least once a month to try all of the new burgers!
I got my order quickly and the young lady who took my order was sweet and patient. When I dined in the first time, the restaurant was completely empty! And the second time I went it was empty as well. I’m unsure if it ever gets busy, but this place was a nice gem I found! I’ll definitely be back

Update. This months special is a classic Rubin with swiss cheese sour kraut thousand Island dressing and most importantly served hot off the grill on a marble rye. It is EXCELLENT!! MARCH ONLY 2024. This new burger joint is producing a top end meal. Fast and friendly service compliments the delicious burger and fries perfectly. Decent atmosphere clean and bright although a bit stark. Easy to find plenty of convenient parking. I predict great success for this new restaurant and proprietor! Keep up the good work! This has become my go to burger joint for dine in and carry out.
