At our Wapakoneta, OH location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Every time we have went in this Wapak location we have ALWAYS gotten fantastic service and food. The manager Shari is the most personable employer. She talks directly to her employees and I have yet to hear her raise her voice to them! People you will not be disappointed here.

Great place to go for a fish, shrimp, crab and/chicken fillets. I love their clam strips, okra and hush puppies. Added bonus was that this Captain D’s was lower priced than the online menu!

It’s always something with this place. I go here on occasion because even the fried fish is fresh, it’s usually damn good fish. I try to dine in when possible, just because the food is made fresh, and I don’t have to drive back there after I realize my order is wrong. My wife got some fried fish, and this was what it looked like. They told her it was a tendon. Sure looks like something besides a tendon! They gave her a new piece, but neither of us could eat it after seeing whatever this is. I’ve cleaned thousands of fish and never saw a “tendon” like this.

I would give 0 stars if possible. The last 2 times going here was terrible. I used to love their food. The shrimp taste so strong like fish it’s disgusting. The Mac and cheese is runny with a water base layer on top. It used to take a while to get your food but it was worth the wait. Now u get your food right away. I think they are pre making a lot of food and even when it’s old they are still serving it. They must be under new management. They need to go back to the old management/ procedures.

The young man at the window didn’t know how to ring up my order because I have like 3 charges on my account. What look to be the manager came over and I guess fixed it, but didnt tell me anything. I guess I’ll see if the charges vanish in a few days, but yall need to be more carefully with that, I travel and work, I need my two and fuses, darlings.
