I just stopped by their food truck place downtown Salt Lake City at the comic event.

It smelled amazing and had a lot of cool energy. So I stopped by.

I had adobo, hurricane chicken, the fried pork and the huli Huli kebab.

First off the adobo was the bomb I cannot believe that it tasted just like as if I was in Asia.

Fried pork was just awesome I mean it was just fried pork but it was very good. So tender

The hurricane chicken is basically katsu chicken with a sauce on it. it was slightly sweet but it still paired very well

The Huli Huli chicken was cooked very well, not dry. I got the spicy sauce so it was a little less sweet but I thought it was better.

Overall I’ll go back to their place it’s so worth it

Hands down the best Filipino/Hawaiian food in town, the food truck that comes on base does not do thier portion size justice, the food is hot, tasty, and again the portions are amazing! Highly recommend.

I had lunch at Dakine Grindz with a buddy and we were both seriously impressed. We arrived at 11, which ended up being good because there was a lunch rush by the time we left, so the word is getting out! The Katsu chicken was superb, crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.

The staff made the experience even better with their friendly and helpful attitude. You can tell they care about the food and the people. If you’re craving island flavor done right, this place delivers. Definitely coming back for more!

The owner is a fantastic person. She loves kids and loves your family being well fed. All of her food is fantastic and my favorite item on the menu as if right now is the hurricane chicken. So so delicious.

The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly.

The food was AMAZING! The serving size was totally worth the money, most of my party had leftover.

We will definitely go back!

I had the hurricane chicken with rice and noodles. Wow. It was so fresh and tasty. I’ve never had real Hawaiian food but in my mind they made it exactly the way I thought it would taste! Super reasonable price and gigantic portions. I am so stuffed and satisfied. I definitely recommend coming here if you’re in the mood for Hawaiian.

I went here today to order dinner for my FAMILY. I have come here at least 4 times after work for a family dinner platter with no issue so I went here again tonight. When I arrived at the counter there was a new lady at the desk so I made sure to emphasize FAMILY PLATTER to her 4 times after she said “Hawaiian platter” I said “Yes Hawaiin FAMILY PLATTER”. Typically I pay $100 for the family platter and I asked her if this was for the family platter before I paid and she said yes. I waited 40 minutes for my order and received a platter for 1 person. I asked her where the family platter was and she repeated that she didn’t know I ordered that and didn’t hear me. I told her ” I said family platter several times, I know you heard me because I mentioned only $40 for the family platter this time, can’t beat it.” The woman at the register said “Do you remember the amount? Ill call to refund you. I’m not going to argue with you.”

I was very clear with my request, I checked to make sure we were talking about the family platter, paid and waited 40 minutes for the wrong thing, couldn’t get a refund, didn’t get my family’s meal, and the woman who works here wasn’t even willing to take accountability for disregarding. I usually order over $100 meals but I will not come back if this unprofessional behavior is running the place.
