Each time I’ve come to this location I’m promptly greeted, even if it’s a “hey, we see you, be with ya in a moment.” I get my food and dip.
Pros:
*The best Cheesesteak I’ve had
*Halle Berry Cheesesteak
*Jalapeño poppers
*Portions
*Food quality
*Service
*Supportive of other small businesses
Cons:
*Personally I get my fries next door, that’s probably the only thing I don’t like from here.
*I think that customers should be encouraged to take care of their own trash, polite of y’all to offer.
*Halle Berry isn’t the only sandwich available (seriously, y’all gotta try it).
*If a legitimate “con” arises, I’ll update.
I got to try the BLT and the Halle(peño) Berry. The BLT was pretty generic, hard to mess up a BLT. I was skeptical about the Halle Berry sandwich but it was actually super good! It had cheesesteak beef, cream cheese, grape jelly, and cream cheese. It was such a perfect blend of savory and sweet. If you’re not good with spice though, I’d recommend taking out the jalapeños.
Overall a good, reliable hot sandwich shop with plenty of options.
The staff seemed to be kind of annoyed about something so that was off putting from the start.
There were no recommendations of any kind, as a new customer I would’ve liked to had some kind of knowledge on what was most popular or their best seller! I would’ve tried it!
With that being said, I settled for the first thing on the menu, which I assumed was one of the classics, (Chicago Philly) which had lettuce, tomato, onion, American cheese with oil and vinegar.
At first the sandwich was pretty dry, I almost had to ask for some mayo or something to put on it, but then I got towards the middle and it turned out to be ok. The overall presentation of the sandwich was good, decently sized. The seasoning on the meat and the American cheese kind of resembled a hamburger.
I think some chipotle mayo or some kind of sauce would take this sandwich to the next level.
The overall flavor of this sandwich was pretty average, so I probably wouldn’t order this one again.
Jersey mikes is better all around
