We stumbled across this place on a Valentine’s Day roadtrip. What a wonderful little hidden gem! So much delicious homemade food. The black raspberry fry pie was incredible, as are the molasses cookies! The cinnamon bread is also amazing. I plan to return soon and try some of the other homemade goodies.

We love the Country Lane Bakery and stop in frequently when heading down to our conservation property south of Brodhead. The donuts are scrumptious and a great treat, only being available on Saturdays! We also enjoy the handpies, especially the black raspberry and the assortment of breads. Our two favorites are the bacon/cheddar bread and the apple bread. We haven’t yet, but plan to, sample their pizzas as well. Prices are very reasonable and the goods are delicious!

A lovely place! Donuts were excellent, and the granola is great too ($5 for a good-sized tub). Cash or check only. They have a great selection of breads, pies, pastries, honey and other bits and pieces. A friendly place, nice and quiet, with good outdoor seating in peaceful surroundings.

Fun trip to the country. Drive through lots of farm land to get to this gem. Moist baked goods (cinnamon rolls and rhubarb sweet bread). They pickle their own vegetables. Delicious classic pickled beets. Friendly people working there.

Such an excellent bakery with a country atmosphere. The fresh baked products are much better than any store bought bakery. Better get there early because all the good food disappears quick. Because of this they do make a lot of bread now. The pies and tarts are fast sellers too.
