My husband and I stopped by Roberto’s the other day after he read an article praising the ristorante for bringing authentic Italian options to the Villages/Wildwood area.
We opted to eat outside as it was a beautiful day. I really appreciate the amount of tables and chairs they had outside, it was a nice patio option. Our server was attentive and came out multiple times to check on us even though we were the only couple out there. I’m glad we were not forgetten!
As I previously worked at a true authentic Italian restaurant, I got really excited reading the options on their menu. However, we did ultimately opt to eat from the lunch menu – I got the meatball sandwich and my husband chose the pizza/salad combo. Our intention was to split our meal 50/50 so we could try more.
While waiting for our meal our waitress brought out two garlic knots. However they were both pretty tough and flavorless. I really did expect them to be more fluffy and delicious. Honestly, with ordering two heavily carb loaded meals we didn’t really need the knots – but definitely appreciated the offering anyway.
Our meal came out and my initial impression of the sub visually was a bit of a let down. The meatballs were cut and an enormous piece of cheese covered the bread… Eh, it wasn’t too extraordinary, not super flavorful. I ended up taking the meatballs off and putting it on my half of the shared pizza.
The pizza was good. The crust was thin and crispy, too. Definitely the best part of our experience. So, I’d recommend the pizza.

Visited Roberto’s on a Tuesday afternoon. Our waitress Paula was wonderful and attentive. Received my diet coke which was flat tasting. We received garlic knots that were as hard as a brick with little to know flavor. Paula did bring us fresh ones when I complained. I ordered chicken parmigana which was ok. My friend order a salad and veal parmigana. Her salad was lacking any flavor and the lettuce had seen better days. Unfortunately this meal was mediocre at best. Too many options around I don’t think we will return to Roberto’s any time soon. They need more flavoring.

First time diners – YUM!! Greeted and seated immediately… ordered lunch portions of lasagna and stuffed shells. Served piping hot!! And it was delish!! Portions were perfect… I like when a waitress brings me a 2nd iced tea and remembers I had lemon. No one ever does that! Michelle was our server and she was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and a pleasure to dine with. Honestly, this would’ve been a “perfect” review until we were leaving. My hands were full and as we’re going out the door – a waitress was coming in and didn’t hold the door for me. AGAIN… full hands. Just saying… another diner actually got up to open for me.

Was told by the person that we went with that it’s usually a lot better. So will try again. Sent the garlic knots back because they were rock hard and burnt. Never replaced and were told at the end they did not have any non burnt ones and didn’t apologize or feel bad. So some in our party were digging out any soft spots because they wanted to eat while we waited. We had a slow server and people after us got their food at least 15 minutes before we did.

Picked up a pizza that I ordered online on 12/12/25. When I got it home I opened the box and found a cockroach on the pizza. I can only assume the cockroach was as living in the boxes they had prebuilt in the restaurant as they boxed the pizza up fresh for me. When I called to complain I spoke to the hostess who put me on with Roberto. He did not seem surprised or apologetic and asked if I wanted a new pizza. I asked for a refund and he said that he would process one for me. I waited til 12/20 for a refund and stopped in person as I hadn’t received it. I was told by the hostess they processed the refund and that I had to contact Grubhub. I did not order thru GrubHub I ordered thru their website. The only confirmation I even have is thru their website and there’s no reference of GrubHub anywhere. I’m not sure why they couldn’t just refund to my card in person or offer me a cash refund. It’s now 12/27 and I still have yet to receive a refund from anyone and the whole situation was handled poorly and with lack of remorse or surprise that this happened. Be careful when ordering from here as you may end up paying $20 for garbage and bringing home a “friend” with you.

Food was absolutely amazing. Dessert was even better Allison our server was outstanding. Definitely try this place for a date night or just to go and have a cocktail and a quick bite yourself.

Pizza was delicious I tried the margarita I wish it had more sauce but it was definitely very good as an appetizer we ordered the seafood stuffed mushrooms they were really yummy I will recommend and comeback soon

My wife and I have probably been to every restaurant in The Villages at least once (or an 100) and this one is easily one of our fav’s. Roberto’s has always been good, but after the remodel it’s on another level. Like “Date Night” type of place, or relax with your friends type of place. The extra space and the new bar turned it into a great place to relax, grab a drink, and enjoy a really nice night out. The bar is really, really impressive.
What really makes this place special, though, is the people. Roberto and his family are there, hands-on, making sure everything runs right. They’re from a restaurant family in Napoli, Italy, and you can feel that old-world hospitality from the minute you walk in. It’s warm, welcoming, and genuine. I’m sure his parents are proud
And the food is outstanding — the best Italian food anywhere around The Villages, no question. Everything we had was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care.
If you haven’t been since the remodel, it’s definitely worth a visit. We’ll be back again… and again…

It was my mother’s 80th birthday. We arrived around an hour before closing…we arrived a bit later than we normally would but didn’t realize how early you closed. It was busy. We got no greeting. When the hostess arrived she found us a table. It took a bit to be waited on. Our server was very nice. However, at one point we had an issue at our table and I asked another employee for some assistance. If looks could kill, I’d be dead. I was relieved that it wasn’t me, she seemed to look at everyone in the same manner. Our drinks from the bar were all excellent. However, water and fountain drinks were served without ice. There’s a grocery store in your parking lot. If you ran out of ice, the fix was not to lessen your service but to get some at the grocery store. Our appetizer was excellent, my mom, the birthday girl ordered another but it was sold out. Disappointing. We all enjoyed our dinners. I particularly appreciated that I was able to make a meal of sides. That’s not always possible. I’ve eaten at other Italian restaurants in/near The Villages and yours has been the one I’ve enjoyed the most. The sauce is excellent. It was very nice of your staff to sing happy birthday to my mom and present her with a tiara. We took a cannoli home. It was very good and we will try more desserts in the future.
