I’m the last person to complain about a bill after I’ve eaten because I think it’s the tackiest thing in the world to do but this place just charges whatever they want after you eat. $10 is NOT a lot of money for food but at this point it’s just the principal. They not only charged me and extra $1.00 for my food from what was on the printed menu but also charged the extra 2.75% merchant fee as well. Once the 18% gratuity was added it brought my bill to an almost extra $5. I never have a problem with tipping or give wait staff a hard time because I was a waitress at one point but the customer service was non existent and charging whatever you want after a person has eaten is just down right ridiculous. They BOLDY have the 2.75% merchant fee being charged to the customer across their menu this is ILLEGAL! A business is responsible for merchant fees when a customer chooses to use a debit card. I can almost bet my bottom dollar this businesses taxes reflect that they are paying these fees when they are clearly NOT. When I asked the waiter why I was charged an extra $1.00 for my meal his response was “That’s just the way my boss has it, ask him I don’t know” with the worst attitude. I tried keeping my composure but his side remarks and attitude were completely uncalled for. I’ll never step foot in this place again! The food has went way down hill from when they first opened and now this? Since the waiter couldn’t give me answers about my bill I’m sure I can get in contact with someone that can. & as you can see the fee was charged on a debit card NOT a credit card in which case it would be legal but charging the fee to a debit card is not! They intentionally state credit card only on the menu because they know it is illegal to do so on a debit card.

If I could give more stars, I would. The food was delicious. The service was the best I have gotten in a long time. I didn’t catch his name. All I remember is braids and him calling us friends. He went above and beyond my expectations. The way he interacted with not only my children and I, but the other customers was phenominal! Thanks for a much needed, great evening for a tired exhausted Momma. This will be our new spot.

THE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE!! I make better Mexican food than this place!! ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR TO ANYTHING! For a $66.00 TOTAL BILL for carry-out of the 9 individual Tacos and 1 Quesadilla…RIP-OFF!!! The food was very small portions. And you know when my man who eats everything won’t even eat my leftovers it sucks?? FYI: We ONLY ordered food from here because the food truck that sits in Grantite City wasn’t there on a Friday night as it usually is… I will say I will never order this food again! I’m surprised they even have a star rating of a four!! It doesn’t allow for negative radians or I would have given one!!

Food was like warm at best, but good. They put an 18% service fee on every bill regardless of table size which sucks. Hopefully the servers get that because I’m sure it hurts if not eliminates their tips

Owner has a new updated menu online and when you order he doesn’t offer the price it says charges you extra so watch your bill when ordering online then argued and told me it’s cheaper online I placed it online and it was 10 dollars more than what he originally told me it shoulda been 35 on menu price still charged 45.

One of my favorite Mexican eateries love their enchiladas, birria, and love their margarita towers. Fabian is always a pleasure to be served by and their dessert section is amazing! Our children loved their churros as well.

I spent an afternoon at Don Chencho and it was awesome, the food was great and the staff made feel at home. Ceviche is not on the menu but they managed to prepare a fresh one for me. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area, any special order just ask.

Really enjoyed food, drinks, and service at Don Chencho! Our server Fabian was awesome! Super friendly and attentive. The food was really good, and the queso was excellent. One of the few restaurant with tower margarita (100 oz), and they let you mix flavors at no additional charge. They also had DJ and Karaoke that Friday night.

I ordered the enchiladas dinner, which I really enjoyed . The table also had tacos, the queso dip, and drinks in addition to chips and salsa. The margarita was tart, yet effective in washing away the day. I’ll be back soon!
